Brooke did a great job last night interviewing the contestants. She was able to ad lib with no problem and she connected well with Tom.

This is what I think. I wanted Melissa, but I agree she would have been distracting. Brooke blends in.Originally Posted by Jexter;3860743;
I actually found myself missing Samanth, just for the silliness and unpredicability. Kept wondering what Mellisa would be like as the co-host.
Brooke certainly did an adequate job, especially considering it was her first show. But it was like her dancing--technically proficient, but not overly interesting.
The odd thing is that Brooke had a really compelling personality when she hosted Wild On!. If she could just find a way to get back to that...
I didn't see the entire show on Monday and they repeated it tonight.
I found myself missing Samantha, too.
I know a lot of people didn't like her, but I found her fun and very natural.
And I agree with the poter who said she was proficient, just not at all interesting.
I think what I really find annoying is that she seems overly fake.

Personally, I think Brooke is waaay better than the extremely annoying Samantha who could not function without a teleprompter. I used to fast forward past the interviews just so I wouldn't have to hear Samantha struggling to find something to ask the contestants. Brooke is more natural and will probably improve as the season goes forward.
Tonight there were some awkward moments for sure. When she asked Evan about cheese cake. Then there was something about bringing Buzz's wife home to teach her dance moves and the look on his face was priceless. Atlest Derek made her feel at ease.![]()

What was up with that cheesecake comment? She made it, had the mic in Evan's face, and then it's like you could hear the crickets started chirping in the background. Brooke needs to stick to the teleprompter and remember her role. Let Tom handle the jokes. I don't miss Samantha, but wouldn't be surprised if Brooke turned out to be a 1 host wonder. And the wardrobe department needs to re-vamp what they're dressing her in. That dress was horrible.Originally Posted by Love_Me;3865981;
Improvement over last week - but a few times there was dead silence. And she's still pulling the mic away before she should - mostly with herself.
My biggest pet peeve with her is her constant remarks about Derek having been her partner. WE KNOW, WE DON'T CARE!!

Believe nothing that you hear and only half of what you see. :nono
When Brooke was announced as Samantha's replacement, and there was this tremendous cheering on the board, I asked how long it would be before folks were down on Brooke too.
Week 2...
Bury me in the WalMart parking lot -
Friends and relatives will come visit me.
Seems to me people were down on her in Week 1.Originally Posted by Bloomers;3866061;
But she actually improved this week over Week 1, so I don't see the issue.
