Plus, ain't no way Hollywood Jake is going to commit to a single woman when he can have so many (even his limited amount of fame is some fame, and I'm sure he is hit on all the time). For me, it's all a bit of a charade until they get more gigs.

How much fame Jake achieves will (IMO) determine how long his and Vienna's relationship lasts.

I really don't know why people have a problem with Jake dancing for a few seconds with no trousers on.
It's not as though he has a revolting physique and the decision was entirely appropriate given the music he was dancing to.
I don't think anyone would claim one of the male pros doing the same thing was trying to extend their shot at fame or doing anything they could to get into the headlines.
It would just have been a guy, without his trousers dancing to music from a movie in which the most famous scene featured a bloke dancing without trousers on
That's the downfall of taking the reality route to fame when you choose a show like The Bachelor that requires you to have absolutely no talent whatsoever in order to be cast as the central figure.
This makes his fame rather like Kate's, but whatever his shortcomings may be (not a height pun ) he still appears to be a far nicer person, not that being ncier than Kate is difficult.

I enjoyed that dance and apart from the times when he was being sharp with Chelsie I enjoyed Jake on the show.
He ut forth effort, showed enthusiasm and was clearly enjoying himself.
I thought he was a great addition to the cast. If this does lead to further opportunities for him, then good luck to him, I say.

I have no problem with a dancer taking off his pants for the Risky Business routine, but to me Jake is smarter and sneackier than Kate in that he plays Mr Nice guy for the public, apparently with some degree of success, but he's really doing it with an agenda in mind. Way back when the Bachelorette was about to start some people that knew him made it known that his real motives for going to the show was to become the Bachelor and pursue fame. Later on, before the Bachelor, an ex came on and said Jake was only on the Bachelor because he wanted to become famous and Jake only care about Jake. Later we find out he had a girlfriend, who he took to NY to wine and dine on his business partner's money. He took her to meet his parents and then dropped her like a hot potato when he got the call to be the next Bachelor.

It seems very clear to me, after the DWTS post shows interviews that Jake in fact is going to pursue an acting career in Hollywood which was what those who knew him were saying way back then. They were right.

If only, he was down to earth and real and honest there wouldn't be so much antagonism by some viewers against him, but all we heard from him was "oh golly gee I'm such a nice guy that just want a fiancee, I would never be an actor because I find acting boring and my passion has always been flying."

Jake knows how to play the game better than Kate to get people on his side, but to me the fakeness has been there from the beginning.

I'm just grateful he did put his pants on - afterall didn't TC do the whole scene in just his underwear - and we didn't see anymore of Jake's undies/legs than we see of the female dancers/pros.

True, we didn't see much. Sad thing, for Vienna, is that his shirt didn't hang low at all.

I guess if we learned anything from our late friend SDL, we learned that Jake is short

I can see all sorts of cameos on TV shows. Television (and movies) are all into the "Q" factor - not necessarily talent - but who the viewing audience will tune in to watch.

Or I can see him pitching some kind of reality show.

Now, this is not saying that I want to see any of this - I'm just saying what I think will happen. I just know in my gut - he's not gone. He might not last - but he's not gone.

With Billy Mays' untimely death and the Scam-WOW guy getting arrested for soliciting hookers, there is an opening for someone to hawk "As Seen on TV" products. Perhaps "Golly-gee-will-a-kers" Jake should audition to fill the vacancy.

As per their tweets today, Jake and Vienna are spending the day at the beach in Malibu and having dinner tonight at the Paradise Cove (Malibu) cafe, where the food is great.
They seem firmly entrenched in the Hollywoodland lifestyle, and I don't see them leaving L.A. anytime soon.
Vienna had tweeted that they are packing up their apartment when Jake flew briefly to New York City for the Regis and Kelly Show.
Does anyone know where they are living in L.A. now and whether Jake has plans to sell his Dallas, Texas home?

THIS is why I had a problem with Melissa Rycroft. It's just a quirk of mine, but it really bugged me that she was so cavalier about wanting to be a teacher, when so many of us worked so hard to get there. I remember her insisting all she wanted was to go back to Texas and be a teacher. She had already done some TV, and I'm sure she thought about pursuing that. It's all in the way you say it. If she had only said "maybe" or "I'm not sure. I think I'd like to try to be a teacher." Jake's doing the same thing.

Totally agree, Beachmom. That's what makes some of these people so infuriating. If they would just own the fact that they want to be on TV and they want to be famous instead of making us feel like we're fools for even suspecting that's why they are really on a reality show....
