ETA: My feeling is that , if one of them gives the producers an ultimatum, then that person should be given the boot. Being professional means putting your personal feelings aside. I had so much respect for Sophia Bush when she stayed on One Tree Hill and worked with her creep of an ex-husband after he took up with a teenage extra on the show. In interviews, she said she did it because it's her job.

BTW - the poll on Popsugar has Maks leading Karina to stay on the show 74% to 26%

Maks would be my pick, too Karina does nothing for me. They better give Maks a contender this year, the ringer, I don't care if she makes Mya blush in terms of her experience. Just get him a dang partner that'll keep him and his chest around! Karina-meh. She can get lost. Other sources have quashed that rumor, saying it's not true, but who knows. Critical, I'm in agreement that if anyone pro puts up an ultimatum like that, show them the door. I think both can be professional about it, and they did a decent enough job last year. I noticed that they never sat anywhere near each other in the red room. I feel sorry for the other pros because of any tension, since many are friends with both. ABC last year purposely moved Karina/Aaron next to Debi/Maks, but I think that's when Maks/Karina were still on speaking terms. If anything, they'd love for the drama to happen. I can see them sitting Karina's new beau front and center every week. It's DWTS after all.

As I said, Karina does nothing for me. I haven't liked her since the Mario season, either, after being a poor sport at losing (and then the seasons after where she got known for having the b***h face when she got a partner or result she didn't like). I did learn to start liking her when she was with Maks, but I realize she seemed different and was probably in the clouds of love. Now she's back to being the Karina I despise. If the show had to pick, I think they'd probably go with Maks. Unless your name is Derek or Julianne Hough, I don't think the popularity of the pro weighs as much as the popularity of the celeb. I know Maks has had 3 early exits (one of them because of Misty's injury), but I think the same can be applied to other pros deemed popular, like Cheryl. Give her a two left footed clunker and she doesn't make the half way point. Anyway, Maks has the whole outspoken, "bad boy" image, is known for creating drama potentially with his partners in the rehearsals, and has kind of a back and forth banter relationship with Tom. I think his 2 exits had to do with having a very unpopular celeb (Denise) and an unknown celeb who couldn't dance (Debi). Karina's only done well with the 2 Mario's, and while her and Aaron did well placement wise, their partnership was dramatic and they spent more time in the bottom 2 and lucked out. I agree she seems entitled, and I while I think she's a fantastic dancer, her choreography leaves a lot to be desired. I also think because of her attitude, she doesn't bring out the best in her partners in that regard.

My thoughts exactly.

I don't really have a problem with Karina, and I think she's an awesome dancer, but if the relationship blood really is bad enough for one of them to be tossing out ultimatums, then yeah I agree there's no way she'll be asked back instead of Maks. I hope they plan to separate the personal issues from their professional lives though, so they can both come back next season.

ABSOLUTELY!!! Karina - I could live without seeing forever. Maks is sex on a stick and one of the main reasons I tune into this increasingly tedious show.

Another cast spoiler: soap opera actress Genie Francis and her husband, actor Jonathan Frakes, have reportedly been asked to do the show. I love both, so that'd make me happy
