DialIdol & Fan Poll Discussion for DWTS **POSSIBLE SPOILERS**

I know Dial Idol isn't the best source for predictions. I miss the site vote #1, especially in seasons like this. Anyway, DI doesn't have last week's numbers up that I could find for the totals, but on the main page with the DI score, the bottom 3 are Mike/Lacey, Sugar Ray/Anna, and Romeo/Chelsie, in that order. The raw numbers section, which I think a poster once said is the only thing that would hold any truth, Romeo/Chelsie, Mike/Lacey, and Wendy/Tony are the bottom 3. I can believe the Mike, Wendy, and Sugar Ray being at the bottom. But it worries me that there might be any truth to Romeo being down there. Anyway, I guess we'll find out tomorrow. If Tom, Brooke, or anyone else tweets there's a surprise elimination, I'll start worrying.

I studied it last night; it is incredibly close. Therefore, my guess - and a guess only - is that they are going to go with Mike since he appears to be the most obvious choice for the two weeks. However, if they want to go for more of a shock, they will go for Romeo.

They never verify their results with an independent accounting firm, and I am not convinced this early on that if who they felt was their most dramatic draw (cough Kate) was on the bottom, she/he would go.
We don't and won't know the difference.

With my own little "Dial Idol" experiment going on last night, I started calling on my cell before the show was over voting for Romeo/Chelsea. And voted. And voted. And voted. Very few busy signals, but the funny thing was it let me get in at least 20 votes for them before it told me I'd reached my limit. Next I tried voting on my home phone for Hines/Kym and reached busy signals or "all circuits busy" messages. I only got in 3 votes when I was told I'd reached my limit! Don't know what it means, but it was odd to be allowed to vote so many times for Romeo and frustrating I didn't get my full vote total for Hines.
It will be a shame if Romeo goes home early because 1) I really like Chelsea and 2) this conservative white grandmother thinks he's cute!

I do worry that Romeo may not be long for the show. Something about him doesn't seem to be translating well. I had high hopes for Chelsie, and still do, but I feel like something's awkward between them. However, I only have the video clips to go by, and we know how those can be edited. I feel he wants to do really well and is in this for the long haul. I thought his dance was very deserving of the praise it got, but then again I thought last week he got screwed on the scores. I think he might be trying too hard or afraid of not looking macho that it's getting in his way. I really wanted Chelsie to get someone with natural ability to finally be able to showcase what she can do. Unlike some other potential first ousters: Petra has her backstory, is quiet, reserved, and lovely, plus she has Dmitry, who many fans won't want to see the end of yet; Mike is the least well known but is different, if in an obnoxious sort of way. Plus, he may have more of a following than we give him credit for. I still won't be surprised if he makes like Adam Carolla and lasts a few weeks. Wendy can't dance but probably has a decent size fanbase, if her talk show audience is voting. I think the comments aimed at Sugar Ray, plus him being a sports icon who is a ton of fun to watch will help him. So that's why I worry there might be something to Romeo not being long for the show I haven't seen any tweets yet from Tom as to whether or not tonight is a shocker. I'm still calling a Wendy, Mike, or SR ouster. If Romeo wound up being the other bottom 2 vote getter, hopefully they let everyone at home know that. Some people may think he's doing fine and giving their votes elsewhere.

Like you, I tried a few different phone lines last night. Being at work I was able to do that. I tried getting in votes for Ralph, Romeo, Kendra, Hines, and Kirstie. Hines I gave up on because all I got were busy signals. Ralph I got through for 2 votes, but kept getting busy signals. The only ones I had no problem getting in for were Kendra and Romeo. Kirstie's line was also equally busy. All these seasons later, and you'd think they'd finally figure out their voting system, given all the complaints and talks of rigging over the years.

Oh I don't like this at all! I went and downloaded DialIdol and it shows Chelsie and Romeo in very last place! That would be the first elimination shocker after they tied for the highest score last night! Hopefully that helps since the judges scores count for half the elimination process! If they go home before trashy Lacey and Mike, I'm going to be pissed!

After doing a little more looking into it, in all the previous seasons, I see that they've only had the couple that went home first in the last place slot once. Hopefully that happens again tonight! I hope Chelsie and Romeo's high scores last night keep them safe. That makes Sugar Ray just above them, but fans seem to have a way of doing the opposite of what Len says, to prove him wrong, so voters may have come through for him. That leaves Mike. I would TOTALLY be okay with that!

It's why I try to take DI with a grain of salt, but I'd feel better if my favorites weren't at the bottom I know it doesn't take online votes into account. But I'll be just as ticked of Romeo/Chelsie go anytime soon.

The site vote #1, where you just voted once for who you thought was going home, was more accurate and usually right over DI, which is supposed to measure the voting totals. That's why I miss that site.

I haven't visited this board in a year maybe two. Their predictions are way off.

Their 'predictions' are based on phone calls/busy signals - they do not include texting or on-line voting. When I vote, it's always on-line - as I suspect it is for a lot of people, since it's open til noon the next day and much easier than trying to phone in a vote in the small window they give.

Therefore the numbers are only a small sample - not always accurate.
