DialIdol & Fan Poll Discussion for DWTS **POSSIBLE SPOILERS**

Oh, I forgot to mention the "TeamSarah" website. It's one thing to ask on twitter or facebook of your fans or fans of the show to vote for you or a loved one. It's entirely different to get an entire "Tea Party" to vote regardless of whether they watch. And it's embarassing. As a US politician, S. Palin FAR too many supporters considering she pulls stupid antics like this. Seriously, this is politics?

Jennifer is in the green. The other two are in the red (Bristol is beating Kyle).

I think it will be Jenn, Kyle, and Bristoln 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively. For most improved Kyle should take it but I think Jenn's dancing beats him in the end. I think Bristol goes out a very generous 3rd.

The needle has not moved on this site since about one and a half hours east coast time. Not sure how it really works since it does not seem to be working for central and west coast time zones.

Exactly. That minor detail has been my huge problem with ever trusting DialIdol as an indicator. It's probably rigged by ABC ;)

I've never checked it. BUt isn't that telling the "red" ones they better vote? Isn't that unfair unless it's absolutely up to the minute accurate?

The whole thing is unfair. DWTS, unfair? Never. I just never use it to predict accurately what's going to happen. Sometimes, the results do align, more so this season, which again just makes me wonder if DWTS monitors it. It doesn't, however, ever account for the Midwest or West Coast vote nor does it count for--what this season seems to be proving--the massive online vote. In the season of "no real bottom two" gotta wonder if the show uses this bad boy to back up their unsubstantiated results. Part of me wonders if tomorrow night, Tom will make a comment that points out who reviewed the vote tallies and finalized the winner.

The reason Jen is in the green is because ABC has doctored its' website so people can't vote. I think they stopped it until the west coast could start voting and CST & EST had gone to bed. I finally got to vote a little after midnight cst. It kept saying something like "Ooopps, website experiencing an unexpected error. Try back later." Creeps. They are taking no chances that the golden couple win this thing by fair means or fowl. My daughter was just texting a friend and she said she couldn't get in to vote for Kyle.

I don't care how many judges points Jennifer gets, she in no way would have beaten Kyle and Bristol in viewer votes if they were allowed to vote, no matter what TPTB say. However, Alaska's time is several hours behind us, so I wonder if they are being let in to vote?

ETA: Usually at the top of the website, it has a number, like 1,647, 249 (for example), but tonight, it had nothing. This does not smell good to me.

That doesn't make sense to me. ABC would want the money from the calls and clicks, so why would they care who won the cheap $20 trophy, as long as the viewers keep breaking records for voting? If they block votes for any one couple (especially Bristol/Mark), they are taking money out of their own pockets, which is the real reason the show exists in the first place.

DI wouldn't be in cahoots with ABC because it's not an ABC website. Heck, it's not even made for DWTS... It was made for Idol.

With the online and text voting, especially and particularly in the finale, I don't trust their numbers. They have had people "in the red" before who were not (ex. Erin in the semi-finals last season).

Another example: Brooke and Lance were both in the red in Season 7's finale. Brooke was losing by a whopping 9.5 points in the DWTS score. We all know how that turned out, haha. :lol

Season 9 finale, they had all contestants in yellow, but Kelly would have won and Donny would've been in dead last if their numbers were right.

I'm always leery of DI #s for this show, but especially on finale night. I wish that website from last fall still existed, where it was really one vote per computer. That correctly predicted Donny would win, Mya was 2nd, and Kelly was 3rd. I think it was right every week, if memory serves.
