Re: 5/12 Results Show Discussion **Spoilers**

Vote Number One had Ty going the week LK went home and then later went and added a statement not to discount Ty's popular vote. Last week Mel was 3rd on that poll and Tom made the announcement that the B2 might not be the B2 which usually means it isn't because he has also made it clear in the past when the B2 was the actual B2. Not sure what the agenda was to put her in B2 but I have a few guesses and it really does depend on what ABCs true agenda is and I could see it going a few different ways. lol

I do however agree with Vote Number One's disclaimer about not discounting the popular vote because it doesn't account for people who power vote nor can it account for those that vote and don't go onto boards. I think it's a decent indicator but I wouldn't bet my life on it. Truth is I think ABC will give the trophy to who they want on Tuesday and they may or may not have the most votes. As a Mel fan I'll do my part and vote like crazy and I'm sure fans of others will do the same.

Tony has been on this show for a long time; he knows how it works by now - so do the rest of them.
I would be surprised if ANY of the remaining contestants aren't scared to death of being eliminated each Tuesday. With so few contestants remaining, the odds of being eliminated are great. I'm sure none of them are feeling that confident, especially since the level of talent of all remaining dancers is so high. In short, Tony & Melissa might have been worried, but it may not be for the reason stated. It's likely that ALL of the remaining dancers were feeling pretty much the same.

I just checked dialidol and it had "this week" statistics which were probably from last week's competition. Gilles got a 70, Melissa a 67 and Shawn a 63, whatever that means ( I rounded to the nearest whole number). I'm assuming that the more a contestant is hyped up or the higher they are scored, it does influence the voting. Last week was Gilles big 60, so I wonder if this week will be Shawn's turn in the number one slot.

votenumber1 shows Gilles and Shawn neck and neck at 39 and 39.25 respectively, and Melissa at a distance third scoring 21.75.

Although Michael Irving and Macy Gray both scored on the bottom of the leader board with 19 judges' points, the two of them are clearly and easily on the top of the DialIdol poll which indicates the extent to which popularity plays into the show.

It must be early because Kelly and Louis are at the bottom, sheesh can't believe that.

Vote for the Worst certainly has enough people to back this season

I don't really believe in the accuracy of these voting sights anymore, and I really can't believe Kelly would be one of the ones going tomorrow. At least I hope not, because she sure as heck doesn't deserve to. DialIdol predicted Ashley/Edyta to be gone from the men's side (show, you owe Edyta). But Kelly has the Osbourne name, she's well known, and she was really good tonight. Plus, a lot of people like Louis and are thrilled he's back. He wasn't the reason I voted for them, but it doesn't hurt And obviously sometimes I can suck it up with a celeb I may not care for to vote for the pro if they're good.

For the women Macy be just be bizarre enough that people want to see what she does and says next. I'm not one of them I think, sadly, it'll be Kathy for the ladies. I suppose I can always dream it'll be Joanna, but I know that's not happening.

The judges' half of Kelly's score will ensure that she stays, I believe, as she was in the top group.
If they are to go strictly by a combination of judges' points and fans' calls, it looks to me ( without taking text calls into account) that Ashley and Tom will leave. However, we don't know if they are going to select one man and one woman ( or two of the same gender), and we also have to take into account the very real factor that we discovered at the end of last season: In the "fine print" at the end of the credits, the show claims the rights to the decisions that are made which accounts for why sometimes a certain celebrity seemingly may "magically" stay on from week to week.
