I don't think mario is cocky...I think he is just trying to appear confident, and it ccomes off cocky.

Mario: His ego is hurting! Good! Could be the best thing for him. He's young and full of himself...but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I actually like his attitude. Samba. He is wearing the heck out of those pants!! Nice performance!
