So I didn't watch the very beginning of the show, but Tom actually mentioned that Kate was going to be an ET correspondent? What, do they need the ratings boost that bad and they want to make sure people tune in and watch her expert commentary and interviewing skills? This from the woman who whined about not being able to handle her kids and needs help (I guess the nannies mutinied), who said she was glad to be off the show so she could be home with her children, wants to be the mom staying home and baking cookies, but yet has to stay in the spotlight and go 3,000 miles cross country to do it. I never watch any of those shows anymore. Usually I catch the last few minutes of The Insider when I'm waiting for DWTS to start but avoid the others.

When she got voted off, I loved Joel McHale's line: "the nation weeped this week as Kate was finally voted off DWTS. Don't worry little Gosselin children, she'll be gone again before you know it." Sadly, it'll eventually come to that. Those kids are going to look at their mom and say 'who are you again?'

FYI, on Yahoo TV there's a poll asking "Who do you want to win DWTS? Currently, Erin has 24%, Evan: 27%, Nicole: 36% and 13% "don't care."

Duchess of 'Dancing'? Sarah Ferguson wants learn how to tango on 'Dancing with the Stars'

Duchess of 'Dancing'? Sarah Ferguson wants learn how to tango on 'Dancing with the Stars'

Sarah Ferguson won't be able to tango her way out of her latest royal scandal, but she would like to try the moves as a contestant on "Dancing With the Stars."

The troubled Duchess of York told "Inside Edition" that she would like to be on the reality show - because her kids would get a kick out of it.

"I would quite like to go on 'Dancing With the Stars,'" she said. "I would like somebody to teach me to tango."

"I do know the show and my children would be so proud of me," she added.

It might, however, take more than a dance lesson or two to regain the respect of her two daughters after she was caught on camera accepting cash in return for providing access to her royal ex-husband, Prince Andrew.

The duchess, who is in dire financial straits, offered to introduce a journalist, who posed as a wealthy businessman, to her ex in return for more than $700,000.

She's blamed a "serious lapse in judgment" for her actions.
I'd rather see her than Tony Blair, Sarah Palin, Bill Clinton, or any other politician the show has on the brain for next season (and I'm sure we'll see one). Season 10 barely ends but one more name to add to the small growing list of DWTS rumored wannabe hoofers.

The one thing I do NOT want to see are C- or D-listers who come on the show to revive a dying career.

This season was great because most of them didn't HAVE to be there. It was fun watching them have fun.

Here is an article I read on Comcast.

Erin Andrews & Evan Lysacek Give Props to Nicole & Derek | Dancing With The Stars | Derek Hough | Erin Andrews | Evan Lysacek | Maksim Chmerkovskiy | Nicole Scherzinger | Fancast News

I thought the following was pretty revealing....Evan says "but the rest of us have been bound like a family...". This sounds as if Nicole wasn't really included in that mix.

“Derek and Nicole were in a league of their own from the start,” Evan told us after the show, “but the rest of us have been bound like a family and that’s, truly, I think unique. Everyone has said that [we're] the closest cast they ever had.”

    Re: DWTS Media Thread

The problem is, who else can they really get? I don't know that I would put this season's cast as huge, well known A-listers. Maybe B-list for a few of them, and it's probably the first cast I haven't had to google half of them. There are definitely some stars from back in the day I'd really enjoy seeing. I just don't want the controversial, polarizing figures and reality show or Hollywood starlets that are famous for being infamous.

I noticed last night after Nicole/Derek had won, it seemed just Mark and Aiden were there, and the others starting coming from the other direction. I wondered if that's why they didn't show Evan/Anna after the mirrorball presentation; what would it look like if everyone ran to the runner up and not the winner first? I kind of got the impression Nicole/Derek weren't in the close knit little circle everyone had made for themselves, but I think people might have just been bored in knowing they had no chance. It could have been feeling bad for Erin and Evan.

A final ratings report, the first hour reached 17 million, while the second hour hit 19 million. So not the strong ratings the show started off with, and I think one of the lower rated finales ever.

....and here's what I thought was revealing:

Erin echoed that sentiment: “I think starting week one when saw [Nicole and Derek] in practice choreograph all 10 routines in one practice, we basically knew that this moment was going to happen tonight."

Hmmmmm....they choreographed all 10 routines in one practice? Wow.
