What are about Mark and Lacey what are they getting, maybe the Paso since it seems uneven in numbers?

It looks like Louie has the AT, not the paso, which disappoints me I think he would have done a better job with the paso and was really looking forward to seeing him perform that. I still think Joanna and of course Mya will run away with that dance.

Week 6 begins the double elimination and where the judges vote who stays and who goes home. I'm worried for people like Louie, Natalie, and Kelly there, because if they happened to be in the bottom 2 with Melissa, Joanna, Donny, or of course Mya, no way the judges would send those 4 home first, even if they did get the lowest number of viewer votes. This would have been a smarter idea in an earlier season, the dance off and then the judges mid way deciding who stays and who goes. I also hope that it doesn't mean Aaron will get a pass from the judges to go through.

Yes there are calling it the KO dance, all couples are rehearsing for 3 dances including that KO Dance (if they are in the bottom 2 they have to perform and then the judges decide who gets the boot)

Mark and Lacey have the Paso Doble, and barring any wardrobe malfunctions or choreography gap outs, this should be a good one for them.

You know, sometimes I think they spread the couples too thin and that leads to the lack of quality in the dances. Sure, they've always reached a point where they had 2 dances to rehearse, including the group dance. And the seasons with the team dances, this season with the relay dances, and technically 3 dances for the finale. But the pros have complained both this season and season 7 about the extended premiere night, which meant a lack of time to prepare for the week 2 dances. Now 3 dances in one week? With this group? Seems a little much. I heard Louis was choreographing the dances. I'm assuming the KO dances are going to be the same for each couple?

Either way, I don't like the judges having the sole power in determining who goes home. I hope that doesn't become a weekly thing, because I don't trust their judgement to keep their bias out of it.

Argentine Tango: Joanna/Derek, Melissa/Mark (which I find kind of interesting since Melissa said she hoped to last long enough to do the paso), Mya/Dmitry, Donny/Kym, and Aaron/Karina

    Paso Doble: Michael/Anna, Chuck/Anna, Louie/Chelsie, Kelly/Louis, Natalie/Alec

Really looking forward to seeing Alec finally do another paso, and also to see what Chuck, Louie and Kelly bring to the floor. Can't say anyone besides Donny/Kym excite me in the AT. No surprise Joanna and Mya get yet another steamy dance that's not much different than the other chemistry sultry style dances they've done.

Chuck is gone, so I'm guessing you meant Mark?
I love both of these dances so it should be fun.
I really don't like the idea of the judges having final say on who goes home. Two of them are idiots, and collectively I can't trust them to call it right.

The one thing I do like about having the judges take over for a week is that it protects the show from fangeek takeover. If there is a celeb who sucks but continues to stay because of rabid (and/or solicited) fan calling/clicking. It's not as necessary this season, but I like it as a way to avoid embarrassment, or further inquiries into their voter "auditing" practices. It needs to appear somewhat on the level, while still having a winner who doesn't embarrass the show.

I think you raise a very good point, but I'm not sure that the judges are any less biased than the fans. See, for example, last week's tie between Melissa Joan Hart (really good performance by a below average dancer) and Mya (usual great performance by a seasoned professional dancer).
Refresh my memory, and I don't mean this in a rude or challenging way, but has anyone who really stunk ever won this competition?
The furthest that bad dancers have ever made it were probably Ty Murray (such a cool guy) and Marie Osmond (drama queen) but neither came close to winning.
Ah, well, I'm just not a big fan of the judges. I'd keep Len and replace the blabbering bookends.

Here's something weird there are 4 Paso Dobles and now 6 Argentine Tangos.
This is strange, and a little fishy. There's no reason not to have an even number of dances split between 10 couples.

Very specifically a person close to the show said the couples really don't know what they are dancing until Tuesday evening, so that in the case of people going early like Delay, the producers try to even up the assigned dances

The very last one to reveal what the dance is Louie Vito. He twittered long after the others had their dances confirmed.

My guess is he would be so darn stiff on the Paso Doble that they gave him the Argentine Tango so he could stay in this. He needs to be in hold and sex up Chelsie because the guy can't dance otherwise.

Nope, but there have been contestants who stayed way too long. Master P comes to mind along with Jerry Springer, the Woz and Cloris Leachman. (Shudder.)
I agree that Len's the best, most knowledgeable judge but Ill go against the grain and say, that even though I don't agree with them all the time and they do sometimes annoy me, I don't mind Bruno and Carrie Ann.
