Oh, I'm so glad to know that Kym will be dancing with Donny. I'm sure he will have a big fan baseand Kym deserves to have someone like that.

To Thine Own Self Be True
So the men dance tomorrow, and I'm going to assume they do their relay dances, with the women and their relay dances on Tuesday, and the results show with 2 boots on Wednesday. Via twitter here's some more numbers/order:
The men:
01) ?
02) ?
03) Mark/Lacey (dancing the cha cha and relay VW)
04) Ashley/Edyta (confirmed by Edyta, dancing the foxtrot and relay salsa)
05) Donny/Kym (dancing the foxtrot and relay salsa)
06) Louie/Chelsie (dancing the foxtrot and relay salsa)
07) ?
08) Tom/Cheryl (dancing the cha cha and relay )
And the women:
09) Debi/Maks (dancing the salsa and relay foxtrot)
10) Melissa/Mark (dancing the VW and relay cha cha)
11) ?
12) ?
13) Natalie/Alec (confirmed by Natalie, dancing the salsa and relay foxtrot)
14) ?
15) Joanna/Derek (dancing the salsa and relay foxtrot)
16) Kelly/Louis (dancing the VW and relay cha cha)
Kind of an interesting order. I'm not surprised by them saving Tom for last, as I figured they'd probably save the most controversial figure for late in the show. I'm semi surprised that the supposed front runner Mark goes so early, but then again I guess maybe they expect him to surprise and want to get him out there right away. As for the ladies, I'm somewhat surprised they'd have Melissa go second, and Kellie last, as they usually save their favorites and/or the surprises for the end (or the controversial folks, like Tom).
Just a hunch, I think Aaron might go first and if not him, then possibly Michael Irving. Aaron might be the bigger name of the 3 male celebs whose spot hasn't been leaked yet, but maybe they'll give Anna D. the honor as the new pro of going first. Less than 24 hours to go!I am crossing my fingers for Tuesday that Kathy and Natalie do better than expected. Natalie moreso to keep Alec around, and I love Kathy and want her to wipe the floor with Joanna, who I hope makes an early exit and shows her true colors by rivaling David Alan Grier's tantrum. For the men, I just really want Aaron to fall flat on his face or do something that will make him an early boot (but who am I kidding, Team Karina will vote like crazy to keep her in and I'm sure Aaron has a bit of a fanbase).
Aaron Carter according to his twitter is dancing first.
Monday Night's Dance Order
#1 Aaron Carter
#2 Chuck Liddell
#3 Mark Dacascos
#4 Ashley Hamilton
#5 Donny Osmond
#6 Louis Vito
#7 Michael Irvin
#8 Tom Delay
Tuesday's dance order for the women is:
9) Debi/Maks
10) Melissa/Mark
11) Mya/Dmitry
12) Kathy/Tony
13) Natalie/Alec
14) Macy/Jonathan
15) Joanna/Derek
16) Kelly/Louis
Louis seems very excited and choreographed the opening numbers. It sounds like the men will have their own opening pro number, and then the women will have there's. Wednesday is the tribute to Patrick Swayze.

Dancing with the Stars to ‘Mix Things Up’
September 21, 2009
As contestants are lacing up their dancing shoes for tonight’s season 9 premiere of Dancing with the Stars, they may already be feeling the pressure of a new scoring and elimination process.
“We like to mix things up every now and again to keep the audience on their toes,” Dancing’s executive producer Conrad Green says.
Derek Hough told PEOPLE Friday night at Family Guy’s pre-Emmy party by Night Vision that his partner, model Joanna Krupa, is “getting nervous and psyching herself out.” He’s trying to calm her nerves by “making her laugh” and reminding her that “it’s all mental at this point.”
Premiere week will feature three consecutive nights of Dancing with all 16 couples dancing two routines each. Monday the male celebrities will perform, while Tuesday’s show features only the women. On Wednesday night, the season’s first live results show, two contestants will go home.
There will be a little math involved during the first week, so viewers keeping scores may want to have a pen and paper handy. Each celebrity’s first dance of the night will be scored as usual by the judges, who will hold up their paddles to indicate one to ten points from each for a maximum possible score of 30.
The second dance will be a relay in which each couple will dance for 30 seconds of a song. For example, four male contestants and their partners will perform the salsa on Monday, while the other four couples will dance the Viennese waltz. Judges will rank each 30-second leg of the relay. The pair that comes in first place gets 10 points; the second place pair get eight points; third is 6 points; fourth is 4 points. The maximum total score a contestant can receive on Monday or Tuesday night’s shows is 40 points. These combined scores, factored in with America’s vote, will determine which contestants — one male and one female — will be eliminated on Wednesday’s live results.
On Sept. 28, Dancing will resume its customary format of performance shows on Monday and live results shows on Tuesday. But the dreaded dance-off will return for weeks five, six and seven of the season. Two couples will be sent home in each of those weeks, reducing the cast from 11 to five couples in just three weeks.
“The way the double eliminations will work is the lowest scoring couple will [automatically] go. Then the next two lowest scoring couples will dance off,” Green explains. “We’ll have asked all of our couples to prepare a short dance, which we’ll call their secret dance, which is the dance they think is their best effort for staying in the competition. Every single couple at the top 11 will need to prepare this and have it ready to go at a moment’s notice. It will be really dramatic.” –Monica Rizzo with reporting by Reagan Alexander

Here's a cute article about Tony and his kids. If you click on the link, there's some pictures there of his cute little family. His kids are adorable!
Dancing Dad Tony Dovolani Heads Back to the Ballroom
For Tony Dovolani, this month not only marked the start of a new season of Dancing With the Stars, it meant celebrating two milestones. His twins Adrian and Ariana turned one on September 8th, and that same day, he took his older daughter, Luana, to her first day of preschool.
How did the hunky Dancing With the Stars pro handle the big events?
“I cried my eyes out. I’m a weeper,” Tony, 36, confesses to Celebrity Baby Blog. “I may look like I’m hard, but I’m not.”
The twins’ first birthday was a small fęte with his wife, Lina, and their family in attendance. The fun part of the day was lighting candles on a Diego and Dora the Explorer themed cake for the kids. The not-so-fun part? The twins’ first-year checkup.
“All they got for their birthday was two vaccines each,” he says, laughing. “They cried and I cried along with them. But they were good afterwards.”
The twins’ personalities have started to emerge, the dance champ says. “My son, Adrian, is incredibly cool and calm. And Ariana is feisty, as I want her to be, taking after her big sister a bit. They are starting to walk with help. They take a step or two and we go ‘yay!’”
And when Daddy sent 4-year-old Luana off to preschool the first day, he was impressed with how un-traumatic the event was for her.
“It’s six hours each day, two days a week and I’m thinking, ‘Man, that’s a long day.’ But my wife reminded me she’s used to going on planes, traveling to see me in L.A., so she’s kind of worldly,” Tony says. “I went in there and the other kids were crying and she was like, ‘Okay, see you later.’ She was so cool about it. I love that my girl has such a strong personality and she can be so firm on her feet even at four years old.”
As for Tony, he was a mess. “I went to the car and cried and cried. My wife was going, ‘Will you get a hold of yourself?’”
Dancing With the Stars premieres tonight at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. Tony is partnered with Kathy Ireland.

I adore Tony! Such a positive, sweet, and happy person.Originally Posted by karalott;3708776;
Plus I love to watch him dance and see how supportive he is of his partners, in rehearsal, show interviews and other interviews. A true professional.
He does have gorgeous kids! That last photo kills me, the twins' faces...
I rarely if ever look up or pay attention to the pros' backgrounds, and I was surprised to hear on the show that Tony is Albanian. I guess by his last name, I assumed Italian.

The Bachelor/Bachelorette series is a soap opera with unskilled actors, bad writing, and beautiful locations...it even edits the real moon!
This is a link to an article about how much each makes for DWTS. Has anyone else seen similar information?
DWTS salaries: How much do the stars make? - DWTS - Dancing With The Stars
According to the article the contestants/stars make a base of $125,000 for appearing on the show plus bonuses for every week they are still on.
There was a similar story last season, also based on court records.Originally Posted by Wind Dancer;3717166;
Last season, during an after-show dinner at Campanille, someone close to the show told us that one person in each of the past two seasons also received a "signing bonus." To the veteran Hollywood entertainment attorney having dinner with us, that meant the person initially didn't want to do the show, but the money was irresistible to the celebrity and/or his/her agent. I have no clue who either person may be; the person from the show who stopped by our table to see my attorney friend, didn't offer up the name.
Oooohh, interesting info peacheater. I think for season 7, it was Warren Sapp. Last year? Not sure. I think some like Shawn Johnson, Lil Kim were fans. I also think guys like Gilles or Steve O probably wanted and needed to do the show more than the show needed them. I wonder if it was Chuck Wicks. I know, he is not famous at all. But it was their way to get him on the show to get Julianne to do one more season. My other guess is Jewel and her husband. Okay, I am going to stop guessing.
peacheater, do you have info on the current pro salary? I think they deserve more than 5,000 dollars a week for all the hard work they do.
