Why in the world would Gilles need to apologize to his wife? That is plain stupid. He acts like she is jealous of him dancing with Cheryl. I can't picture that. Isn't he supposed to be French? Isn't it a French thing? If he is apologizing to her for rolling around with Cheryl, I can imagine how he must have groveled at his wife's feet for his nude scenes in the movie.

And I wonder how truly happy he is that Melissa is back? LOL. Maybe Tony. Then again, maybe Gilles can sympathize with Melissa about the pain of it all since he is going through it too.

Sometimes I wonder if Gilles just says what he thinks people want to hear - maybe what he thinks might be the "right" thing that will get people's approval.
He said he apologized to his wife, but he said she already knew about it and was perfectly fine. When questioned about Cheryl's weight, he made a gallant but completely insensible remark about people who like really thin women have never had sex.
He has said he would consider doing another nude scene for charity, but in a couple of interviews, he has said he will jump immediately at the chance to do another SATC movie role, and now there is word he has done (or is signed to do) a centerfold.

I'm sure Gilles is very happy for them. He mentioned he formed his own bro-mance with both Tony and Steve-O. He had very kind words for Steve-O's recovery and said he could be a really great rolemodel if he got his story out. Tony said he and Gilles are both European and both love soccer. Plus, they both have kids. There might be some dancers of DWTS past that wouldn't mind a contender going out due to injury, sad as it is to think it. But this seems like a really close group. It was sweet the week Chuck got voted off that everyone seemed to run to Melissa and Tony. And some people said Gilles should be ashamed for acting like that in front of his wife. I don't think he needs to apologize but obviously some people thought it was poor taste for him to do that.

REGIS PHILBIN - LIL' KIM PLANS BIG SURPRISE FOR CELEBRITY FAN REGIS

Rapper LIL' KIM is planning a major surprise for beloved U.S. TV personality REGIS PHILBIN - to thank him for his years of support.

The hip-hop star is grateful for the 77-year-old TV host's kind words, especially as she served time in prison on perjury charges.

Philbin also supported Kim during her stint on the current season of U.S. reality show Dancing With The Stars, which ended with her being voted off the programme on Tuesday night (05May09).

Kim says, "I performed on his show years ago and he's always been a sweetheart. He says he's going to get a Lil' Kim tattoo.

"I love Regis... I think I'll pop out of a cake or something."

Celebrity News Examiner: She wuz robbed: Lil Kim voted off 'Dancing With the Stars'

That's it. America has officially lost its mind. Nothing against rodeo fans, but keeping super-stiff Ty Murray on "Dancing With the Stars" at the expense of one of the show's all-time best dancers, Lil Kim, is a crime against ballroom humanity.

When the announcement was made, even Ty's own partner, Chelsie Hightower, had an OMG look on her face. There was an audible gasp in the ballroom. Host Tom Bergeron told Lil Kim:

... There was a real shock in this room when I announced your name."

Even grumpy old judge Len Goodman was visibly disappointed. He had just said that Lil Kim was "one of the best dancers” ever to appear on the show.

Her partner, Derek Hough, said she was one of his favorite partners ever. (He couldn't very well say she was his absolute favorite because former partner Shannon Elizabeth is now his live-in girlfriend.) He did say:

[Lil Kim is] an amazing person, an amazing soul, an amazing spirit and an amazing dancer."

Yes she is. America is lucky to have gotten to know her a little better. And unlucky indeed not to get to see more of her on the show.

Chelsie did look shocked the other night. It was clear she thought they were toast. She looked more shocked than Derek, LK and Ty combined.

This is Chelsie's first season on DWTS. She comes from SYTYCD, where I'm guessing that the fans vote much more based on actual dancing ability than personality or popularity. No wonder she was surprised.

Regarding Gilles' comments, I think fans (and non-fans) tend to overanalyze, disect, and overall take things the celebs say much more seriously than they do, looking for hidden meanings and devious agendas. He got asked questions, he answered, joked around a bit. Nothing more.

She shook her booty and broke her earring - I didn't realize Regis was such a lil kim fan.

Plus it is very apparent that English is his second language. He is doing very well, but there can be the occasional disconnect. I work and have worked with several people from our Paris office and have encountered the same sort of difficulty with the subtleties of speaking in a language recently learned. And I must say, those French emigrés are some of the nicest people I have ever worked with, and one of them used to bring me Blue Cat chocolat from Paris every time he went home for a vacation. For teaching me to appreciate French chocolate above all others, he will remain a friend forever.
