Did anyone else see Emmitt give Cheryl the "football butt pat" at the end of their routine? :-)

I enjoyed watching Emmitt sing along with the music. And say whatever you will about the singers, that's the first time that I actually understood the words to "Sir Duke".

After Mario's scores, my 11-year-old daughter said, "Just watch--the next dance, Mario will have one more point than Emmitt." Even a child can figure out the whole thing is rigged. LOL

Len's objection was basically that while StuporMario did indeed have a more complicated routine, that if you take that risk and mess up one of the extra elements, you should pay the price.

In other words, if they'd set the appropriate difficulty level, they would have been perfect and deserved the 10.

If this was a true "pro" competition, no doubt Emmitt and Cheryl would have been marked down a bit for a lower level of difficulty. But it isn't. The judges aren't expecting "pro" moves. If they are added and pulled off, that's gravy. But you can't grade a very successful simpler routine with the possibility that someone else might try and buck the difficulty curve later on.

I'm sorry, but that was boring. We already know that the scores are going to be even at the end of the night so it's up to us. Even though Emmitt and Cheryl may not have been perfect, there is no such thing anyway....

I'm sorry, but there is such a thing as perfect. . . unfortunately the judges aren't aware of what that is.

Mario and Katina looked great and danced well. I knew Len wouldn't give him a 10 after he pointed out a mistake that the other 2 judges missed. This routine was much harder than the E/C one.
