The dance. was good. Not great...it was something missing in the connection between he and his partner.

It had energy, tricks, moves, but something was missing. I'm not sure what.

Perhaps the no lift rule has to do with insurance. Maybe someone got hurt last season doing lifts?

well....no in trad ballrooming..i don't remember seeing lifts above the shoulder unless it was the jitterbug.

In ice dance they can't do lifts above the shoulder either...but in pairs skating you can spin a girl on your head.
