Side note: Is anyone else a fan of the movie Strictly Ballroom?[/QUOTE]
Great Movie, Critical! Have watched it over and over and over and . . . . .
Also liked the original "Shall We dance" better than the new one.
This show should be fun. Although I am not sure how much more of Trista I can take.
Oh my god SophieMae its like we are twins. Strictly Ballroom has been one of my favorite films since it came out, and I boycotted the American version of "Shall We Dance" because I didn't want to tarnish the memory of the Japanese version. What a great movie!!
I too admit that I'm excited for this show to start. I was raised watching ballroom dancing hosted by Juilette Prouse on PBS. I usually don't admit that, but I thought now would be a good time to come out.
the commercials just make it look so stupid! this is one i'll definitely be passing on.
Oh, come on Sher, that's all part of the fun. :lol
I was too, and I always loved her.Quote:

One word...*yawn*
I love ballroom dancing, but find the professional competitions too stiff. This show should be great with the dancing much more relaxed. I hope these people are in good shape, because they will need strength and endurance to make even a reasonably good showing.
I'll be happy to keep Ryan entertained while Trista tangos the night away.
Thanks for posting info about the show. I saw the commercial but didn't know much about it. Could be interesting...
They should've called it, "Dancing with D-listers" :D They can't get Actual celebs so they settle for this. Yikes!
Trista, get a life already.
Critical, how is it that you are in my mind sometimes? I was totally thinking about Strictly Ballroom while reading this thread! :lol (Looove that movie).Quote:
