That is so awesome! Apparently Tom's talents are not limited to hosting and quick wit. That quick wit means he can think and act quickly...makes perfect sense.

Former Dancing with the Stars alumni Melanie Brown and Kelly Monaco are trading the ballroom for a Las Vegas stage.

Monaco and Brown – a Dancing winner and runner-up respectively – are set to star in PEEPSHOW, a topless, burlesque-style performance that is expected to open in March at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

Neither Brown nor Monaco will be topless, but the showgirls surrounding them will be. Brown will be "scantily clad, but in a classy way," she says.

Monaco's character in the show will be "Little Bo Peep," a timid and lonely girl who is guided by Brown's character, "Peep Diva."

"This is an original show," Brown tells PEOPLE. "The Peep Diva is a diva, but it's all about empowering Kelly's part."

Adds Brown, "This part is great for me. As a Spice Girl I would bring guys on the stage and whip them, so I think I've always been slightly naughty."

The Dancing stars are set to star in the show for several months. A rotation of celebrities is expected to headline PEEPSHOW.

"I'm very nervous and very excited," says Monaco.

Not sure what to think about Mel and Kelly's new job. They are excited about it.

ABC Sets 'Dancing with the Stars' Return - New season hits the floor in March

ABC Sets 'Dancing with the Stars' Return
New season hits the floor in March

December 3, 2008

On the heels of announcing three new dramas for its spring lineup, ABC has also booked the return of its biggest show -- which will presumably help deliver viewers to a couple of those new shows.

The network says that the next cycle of "Dancing with the Stars" will premiere Monday, March 9. The results show will come back on Tuesday, March 17, allowing for two performances before the first celeb is eliminated.

As was the case this fall, the performance shows will run for two hours for the first three weeks, then scale back to 90 minutes on March 30. The results show will stay in its 9 p.m. Tuesday spot.
I like the fact it doesn't sound like they're doing two dances in one week this time, and are allowing everyone to dance two dances before eliminating the first couple.

Early Buzz on Who'll Win Dancing With the Stars - E! Online

Early Buzz on Who'll Win Dancing With the Stars
Mon., Mar. 2, 2009 2:15 PM PST by Kristin Dos Santos

Break out the Spandex, the sequins and the dental floss! In case you haven't heard, a little show called Dancing With the Stars is launching a brand-spanking-new season a week from tonight.

So who's looking like the best cha-cha-challenger? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

Here's what insiders and the stars themselves tell me about how the competition is shaping up behind the scenes...

"The ladies are slaughtering the guys!"

This is what a source on the set tells me about the latest batch of Dancing competitors, adding, "It's probably going to be a female [winner] again." That would be the third straight season.

Word is, big rapper Lil' Kim and little Olympian Shawn Johnson have impressed DWTS staffers the most so far. "We definitely could have another Kristi Yamaguchi on our hands with Shawn Johnson," one crewmember says.

Gilles Marini, the sexy showerer from the Sex and the City movie and partner to DWTS champ Cheryl Burke echoes that emotion, saying, "I heard that Lil' Kim is doing fantastic, and Shawn [Johnson], obviously, because she does gymnastics."

E!'s own Denise Richards is partnered up with Maksim Chmerkovskiy, or "Maksie-poo" as Denise's girls call him. So will she follow in fellow E! alum Brooke Burke's footsteps? Max tells us, "Let's just say that my work this season is a lot easier than some of the other pro dancers." (I did see some of her moves, and can tell you, she certainly looks like she knows what she's doing.)

So what about Max's new fiancée and fellow DWTS pro, Karina Smirnoff? He puts it plainly: "She's with Steve Wozniak. There's not much dancing."

So if the ladies are as sizzling as I hear, what will the men need to do to stay in the game? Cheryl already has one plan of attack: "Strip-Dancing With the Stars! Every time we get through each week, one piece of clothing comes off. All the women who want to see Gilles' body, vote for us!"
I couldn't resist laughing at that line about Karina and Steve. I've seen some rehearsal video of those two. Steve seems like he's really trying hard but yeah, I see the second coming of Master P. Without the arrogant attitude. I thought the last 2 seasons were lackluster so I really hope this season isn't Kristi Yamaguchi part 2, with Shawn Johnson in the lead. On paper the ladies look more impressive than the guys, but who would have thought Warren would have done as well as he did? I'm still hoping for David Alan Grier to pull it off, mostly for Kym's sake.

Dancing With the Stars | Access Hollywood - Celebrity News, Photos & Videos

Quote:
LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
“Dancing With the Stars” has lost two celebrity dancers, less than a week before the new season’s debut.

Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell and singer Jewel have both withdrawn from the competition, ABC confirmed on Thursday.

Both “Stars” have pulled out of the show due to injuries.

“Beyond disappointment doesn’t even being to describe how I feel about not being able to continue on ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ It has been one of my favorite shows since Season One!” Nancy revealed. “But I have torn the meniscus in my knee in two places, which requires surgery. According to the doctor, one is a ‘significant’ tear and it will require my getting knee surgery within the next couple of weeks.”

And although her time on the show was cut short, Nancy was proud of what she and partner Tony Dovolani accomplished in their grueling rehearsal sessions.

“DWTS’ was a great experience. I’ll miss working with my partner, Tony Dovolani, and all the other wonderful people on the amazing production that is Dancing With the Stars,’” Nancy added. “Tony has been an amazing teacher and dance partner and I feel horrible I can’t continue for him… Although short, it was a great experience. I challenged myself to take risk at doing something I had never done before!”

And don’t rule out a possible return to the show somewhere down the line.

“After I have surgery and eight weeks of rehab, my doctor tells me my knee will be back to how it was,” Nancy said. “So that means if I have the opportunity to go back, I could!”

Meanwhile, country singer Jewel had blogged last month that tendonitis in her knees had been causing her severe pain during rehearsals. Yet, in a later interview with Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show,” Jewel vowed not to take off her “Dancing” shoes.

“Don’t count me out, as I am in this for the long run,” she said at the time.

However, ABC has announced it’s not tendonitis – but rather a fractured tibia in both legs that is knocking the singer off the dance floor.

“When the doctors told me my injuries were so severe that I couldn’t walk, let alone compete, I was devastated that I couldn’t continue the show,” Jewel said. “I have every intention of being at ‘Dancing With the Stars’ this season supporting my husband, Ty [Murray], and his partner Chelsie. I hope to be back on the show in the future.”

Earlier this week, Us Weekly reported “Girl Next Door” star Holly Madison would be joining the “Dancing” cast. However, a rep for ABC had no comment on the report.

According to ABC, both Nancy and Jewel will appear on Monday’s season premiere to talk about their departure from the show and “additional changes to the cast” will also be announced during the premiere.
First Jewel, now Nancy DWTS is losing them fast and the show hasn't even started yet! I'm more disappointed about Nancy, because I've enjoyed watching her and Tony and was really excited Tony got a good partner. They looked like they could do so well. I hope if both ladies are able to they're allowed to return for another season. Who knows, DWTS season 9 may be full of people who had to withdraw for injuries.

I'm sorry to hear that both Nancy and Jewel will have to drop out. I am hoping they won't be replacing them with any more reality stars or 'wannabees'.
