Drew Lachey
Host

A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, Drew Lachey is a past winner of ABC's Dancing with the Stars. He and his dance partner, Cheryl Burke, took home first place, beating out 10 other dance couples in 2006. Lachey also served as co-host of Dancing with the Stars last season, and will now be seen in January 2008 as the host of Dance War: Bruno vs. Carrie Ann, a live, one-hour series that features teams created by Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli battling it out on the dance floor.

Lachey is best known for his pop group 98 Degrees, which he joined with his brother, Nick, in 1995. After four successful albums, the band decided to take a break. Since then Lachey has appeared on several TV shows, including As the World Turns, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica and also in the Broadway musical Rent.

Lachey currently resides in Los Angeles with his family.

I thought he hosted DwtS well when Sam was away. I was pretty shocked when I first came to the DwtS thread only to find out that others didn't like his hosting ability.

Yeah, I liked Drew's hosting too and was glad to see him chosen to host Dance Wars!!

I liked him too. I thought he really improved over the weeks he was there, unlike poor, useless Samantha.

Drew Lachey is a great host and I'm excited to see him get this job.

I think Drew did a much better job hosting than Samantha. My husband calls her "the woman who can't talk" because she seems to always flub her words.

Count me in, I loved Drew as the co host of DWTS. I was hoping he would stay a little longer but oh well. He brought a lot of humor to the interview portion.

He is a great host. He is comfortable and very easy to watch. You do not get the feeling he is scripted and you know some of what he says has to be.
