Do any of you play Hold 'em Poker? And if so, where? With friends, on-line, etc?
I play on www.partypoker.com and on Yahoo! Games, once in a while.

I've played on Yahoo games, but since it's fake money I have no fear. Actually I try to play as if it were real, but unfortunately most of the others don't. It's still a lot of fun.![]()

I play at Canterbury Card Club in Minneapolis. Online I've played at pretty much every big name cardroom there is (Paradise, PokerStars, UltimateBet). I've played in a number of small buy in tournaments ($1000 and under) across the country often facing off against all the big names you see in the World Series of Poker (and lately on the World Poker Tour). I've won a lot more than I've lost, I ain't telling how much though, who knows if the IRS is watching.
If anyone is serious about wanting to play or learn to play, drop me a line, I know a few places that are great sources of poker wisdom.
I play, online at www.pokerstars.com
I will have to check out party poker

I just registered at PokerStars. I see the "find a player" function. I'm "JohnFORT" if anyone ever wants to find me.
I am Opus on Pokerstars. I like the graphics on party poker better. Not sure about the games though.

I love playing Texas Hold'em!There is nothing like playing hold'em all night long in a Vegas casino.
I also like Pokerroom.com. No downloads required. Like Greenie said though, when the poker is free people play too many hands, so luck is much more of a factor. It can get a little annoying, but over the long haul, skill still prevails.![]()
Bill, I like that on Pokerstars, you can set your own picture up. I also like the stat-tracking feature.
I just joined a 4pm Eastern WPT satellite tourney on Pokerstars, for $3...I'll lose quickly, I'm sure, but what the heck.
Oh so you have to use real money? I might have to up my anxiety medication if I ever join.I'm such a sally.

No, you can play for free, too. I just like to play for real money because it weeds out the people who play like it's not real![]()
