Here lately, Phil Harris, captain of the Cornelia Marie of Deadliest Catch. He's been gone for 6 months and I'm still crying when I watch the show.

I was introduced to the writings of E. Lynn Harris several years ago by a Blockbuster clerk who was also a college student. I cannot imagine not seeing another book from him. He had a very engaging style.

And I cannot leave out Princess Diana. I was trying to get dressed for work (in the wee hours of the morning), and I couldn't stop going to the tissue box.
I should have added Luther to my list. I'm reading E. Lynn Harris, In My Father's House now. I've read all his books. Both silenced too soon.

When Diana passed it was a hard night for my family. It's one of those things where I will always remember where I was and what happened when we found out she died.

I also was affected by Princess Di's death too. Another senseless death.
I agree on both of these. I still can't believe it.

John Belushi, John Candy, Gilda Radner and Jim Henson. I remember when Jim Henson died, feeling that Kermit had died and all those other characters along with him! And it seemed that his death should have been preventable or diagnosed sooner and treated.

Lately, Robin Gibb and Michael Clarke Duncan were upsetting.

Although not really celebrities, throughout the years a lot of WWE wrestlers have died, and a lot of them young, which is terrible. I remember when Lance Cade died at only 29. It was pretty shocking and I didn't expect it.

John Ritter, Dick Clark and Davy Jones. It still makes me teary eyed when I think of it.
