I also don't agree with this bolded part from imissme:

What a piece of crap this guy is, and how a woman who appears to have so much together in her business life can make such a poor decision when it comes to whom to marry, is beyond me.
It's not beyond me to understand this.

Women (heck, men as well, of course) can make such decisions because they believe in the other person and love them. And if that other person deceives and betrays them, it is that OTHER person's fault. Maybe in hindsight, which is 20/20, it looks like a poor decision now. But at the time, it seemed like a good decision (even knowing there was an inherent risk, which there is with everything and everyone).

I'm not saying Sandra should take him back or even that she will, but if that is what she decides to do, then I don't believe that she should be judged harshly for it.
And she won that Oscar in her own right, not because of who she was married too. She should be proud of that Oscar and not think of it as the end of her marriage. It wasn't. That skank was.

I think she will come through this ok. She seems to be a pretty independent and confident woman and I doubt she lets him or the skank ruin her oscar spotlight or her acting career or who she is as a person.

Re: Sandra Bullock and Jesse James

I think Sandra does have it together and I believe it was wonderful that she chose to marry someone that was not traditional hollywood. I can't say that it was a poor decision to marry Jesse. They have had many years of happiness and, as she states, she wouldn't be the actress that she without him. The fact that he has messed up doesn't make the decision to marry him terrible. And I agree with Lil Bit, no one really knows what goes into peoples decisions... but it takes a truly strong person to make the unpopular decision. If Sandra chooses to try to work things out or send him to the curb ... only she knows what is right for her and what she wants... I would support her decision.

Re: Sandra Bullock and Jesse James

My initial reaction when I read this was that Jesse, while probably proud to be married to Sandra Bullock, was most likely very intimidated by her success. She is so much more of a "star" than he is, and having won the Oscar will be at the very top of the pack for female actors in Hollywood. He's probably used to being the "catch" with his women, and his decision to cheat with such a skanky woman (as compared to his wife) makes me think he's looking for the hero-worship that these women might offer. Just have to look to his past to see what he likes. He's been married 3 times before Sandra? And the Ex is a porn star? Yikes.

But we can't help who we fall in love with, and hopefully Sandra will find her way through this with her head held high. I too would be worried about STD's though. Shudder.

As more and more information comes out, this just gets worse and worse. I can't imagine that Sandra will take him back. Those poor kids.

Ditto the Gloria Allred inclusion! And I think they should all have to surrender all cellphones or other mobile devices before boarding. Honestly, some of the text messaging that has been published is vile....

I wondered why she didn't mention him in her Oscar speech.

She did mention him in her Oscar speech, though.

And she didn't hear about the cheating until last Monday. In Touch magazine contacted her publicist who told Sandra that the magazine was coming out with the story on Wednesday. So at the time of the Oscars she was still blissfully in love...

Well, assuming you can get past the massive tatooing (forehead tatooing? Yuck...), there's the fact that she's 24 instead of 46, has double D breasts, and with tatoos that are likely well within Jesse's "taste" range. So I think those "comparisons" are fairly silly. James slept with her because he prioritizes his penis over his marriage. The "how could he" is just moral outrage more than anything objective about looks. Sandra is a very very good looking woman, even compared to a lot of women ten years younger than herself, but there's no changing the fact that she was born in 1964 and was apparently less to Jesse James' ACTUAL taste than people assumed. He's a snake, but the real mystery would seem to be more about why this took so long to come out than why it happened at all.

As for Sandra, people are going to love her even more when all is said and done.
I doubt that's a big consolation to her.
