Wow! It was 13 1/2 minutes long.
I do like that he took sole rsponsibility and stated that Elin did not physically abuse him and there's never been physical abuse in the marriage, he said.

I heard on the news, too, that the ex porn star (can't remember her name) is just crestfallen because she has not been issued an apology. Her attorney, of course, is Gloria Allred.
Excuse me, but why would a woman who has cheated on another woman's husband expect an apology? Yes, that's rehetorical.... I just always wonder why people can't just take responsibility for themselves. If you commit adultery, why the He*l do you think you deserve an apology from the guy? :nono

I think it was a little too late....for me at least. He stirred everything up again as it was just starting to die down. Thats odd to me. Does he enjoy being in the spotlight? And it seemed too rehearsed....he looked like a robot. Stop reading your apology....and just apologize from the heart.

Everybody has a different perception of what they watched. It has never died down but I do hope they public will get on to something else now that he has made a statement.

I totally hear what you're saying. I was glad, however, to hear the defense he gave of Elin. Yes, it's too little, too late, but at least it's now out there.

I would have preferred something more from the heart, but Tiger's a pretty wooden guy. Robot is a good word to describe how he usually comes across.

Most of this is calculated to get him back his endorsements.

I am sure he was scared to death having to give this press conference. He knew that everyone would be scrutinizing every word and watching every expression... Of course it was rehearsed.

I am guessing today was a step in his twelve step program.

    Re: Tiger Woods' Accident

So, does this mean that everyone who is now unfaithful - male or female - has a sickness that they must go to rehab for?

I fully understand that someone wants to make amends / goes through 12 step programs, but I think to call "womanizing" or "mannizing" a sickness / disorder that needs treatment just serves as an affront to people out there battling real sickness and disorder.

His sickness, like he stated, was one of entitlement.
Far different than a drug addict trying to purge his / her body from drugs.

    Re: Tiger Woods' Accident

I think people can suffer from sex addiction, but everytime a celeb does something wrong, they seem to run to rehab. Whether it means he actually has a problem or not, I really don't know. I look at him as a cheater and a fool, but I don't think he's a horrible person, either. I gave up on the Tiger saga long ago because to me, a cheating scandal just isn't newsworthy anymore, even for someone like Tiger and even in this type of situation. Who cares? Especially when more women come forward to cash in on their 15 seconds of shame, and all say how they're betrayed and fake cry because they weren't the only one (besides his wife). I do get a kick out of the mistresses who keep coming forward and telling their stories and don't seem to want to let it die down. They're capitalizing off of it, and probably will continue to do so. And sorry, but anyone who gets Gloria Allred to defend them has no credibility with me. I agree with those who say Tiger owes those women nothing, they owe his wife an apology for sleeping with her husband when they knew he was married. So let them keep crying and now that Tiger has addressed the issue, let's see them try to move on and stay out of the spotlight. I can smell the book and movie deals coming already.
