What a sad day, ohno. I'm so sorry about Farrah's death. Too bad she never got to marry Ryan after all.

Another sad situation. She fought a brave battle. My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends

So sad. I too sported the Farrah hairstyle in the 70's and never missed Charlie's angels.

I was really sad when I heard that they weren't able to marry. It just made her early death a little more tragic.
A tough way to go - hope it was peaceful.

The doctor was on the Today show this morning and he stated she was very peaceful when she went. Having gone through this with my own mother I know once the organs begin to fail, they dope them up to the point that they are in a semi coma state when they finally pass.

Given the poster and the way we now look at Charlie's Angels, as fluff, it's hard to remember if you weren't there that in its own way CA was also a feminist landmark. Both CA and Policewoman (Angie D.) were breakthrough shows. Before then no one thought that anyone would watch women as crimefighters---"obviously" a ridiculous concept was the wisdom of the time. Policewoman has been criticized because AD had to be rescued a lot, but even at that level it was a breakthrough concept. CA showed very attractive women who did NOT need to be rescued, or were rescued by each other. And, of course, much to the pundits' surprise, men were interested in watching very attractive women even if they were doing something unusual. Hard to grasp today what a surprise that was to all.
