I don't know, but if I were EMS and I got a phone call from someone who identified themselves as a doctor from the Jackson compound and said that "Michael isn't breathing" I would totally haul ass, lol!

I'm still trying to figure out why there were no landlines available? That is one of the dangers of cell phones when panic ensues; if you don't mind paying $100,000/month rent, paying for landlines (which will show the address you're calling from) is not an issue.

Many people only use cell phones, having entirely given up on their landlines. I don't think that it's always a wise decision.

These days even some landlines are not the most reliable. With cable/internet/phone service combintions becoming more popular they are not as reliable as the old "jack in the wall" method. I was also shocked there was no landline, but so many people these days carry cell phones I was also surprised there wasn't one more readily available. So many "what ifs" in this case, I guess we'll always wonder if any of them would have made much of a difference in the end.

Re: Michael Jackson is Dead at 50 yrs. of age

I saw much of that interview with Joe (and also some of his interview with Larry King) when it was played on various entertainment aand news shows.

The thing that bothered me the osot was Joe's continually saying that "WE"--he and Kagherine--"would be the best ones to raise the kids."
He's not living with her--is he?

    Aren't they estranged?

One of the commentators said that if Joe is living with Katherine that could possibly cause the judge to give custody to someone other than Katherine because of Joe's reputed child abuse of his kids when they were young.
The commentator was a Family Law specialist.

Oh--and only mentioned in passing on one of this morning's (Saturday)news shows--Today Show I think--that the custody hearing that was supposed to b on Monday has been postponed to give Debbie Rowe time to prepare her possible challange.

Did anyone else hear anything about this?

Someone needs to muzzle Joe. He and Katherine have lived apart for 10 years, he's in Vegas, she in California. What their relationship is I have no clue, but it's all a dysfunctional mess.

Agreed. He is a vile man by all accounts, and why he is still walking the earth and Michael is not is a travesty. He is already talking about what skills he's "heard the children have" and wants to put them to work, he WON'T shut up, and he doesn't seem to care that his BS could cost Katherine her grandchildren.

I'm beginning to see why Michael listed Diana Ross as a guardian. Out of everyone involved she is the only person that has the least to gain from having these children. Diana was very successful in raising all her children away from the limelight. She is rich in her own right, she and her ex husband own property in France and Norway which would give these children a chance to grow up without being in the public eyes. Considering how Katherine won't say anything to dispute what Joe is putting out there, I'm actually leaning towards her as guardian. If Michael wanted Debbie to be guardian he would have stipulated that in his will. The fact that he did not--and made a point of leaving her nothing--means something isn't right somewhere.

I think the way the will was written purposely left her out. The children were an arrangement with Debbie. She really didn't want children, but he did. She got $$ to have the kids. I don't think she's going to challenge the custody. At least, I hope she doesn't.

No, I believe Debbie was specifically written out of the will. He addressed her, and denied her any part of the estate. I was surprised, however, that Lisa Marie Presley was not mentioned. I guess she has enough money on her own to get involved in this mess.

As far as Joe is concerned - even Kathryn should be able to see through his bull and get him the hell out of there. I don't believe there is a document of "legal separation" (if there is one in California, I know Utah doesn't have one) - so they are still married for all intents and purposes, they simply live in separate homes. And just think - this crap has only just begun.
