Re: Michael Jackson is Dead at 50 yrs. of age

These people made Michael who he became. They deserve the full final tribute. I am curious as to how much money Michael was responsible for bringing to the state of California.

Re: Michael Jackson is Dead at 50 yrs. of age

I did think at first that putting Michael on center stage like that was a little morbid and grotesque. But Michael lived to please his fans. I do think he would have wanted this final goodbye to be this grand and for him to be there with his fans one final time.

Today, we should celebrate the life of the one of the greatest musicians of our generation. He will be missed terribly.

One of our news anchors keeps choking up as she's talking. We aren't seeing any of the actual people talking right now but she keeps choking up. It's giving me tears!

Well--we do something similar with our dead presidents--so I'm not sure this is offensive if it is thought about for a bit.

I fully agree.

I hate it when they say things like they brought the casket carrying Michael Jackson. What I see are Michael Jackson's "remains". Michael is not there.

Re: Michael Jackson is Dead at 50 yrs. of age

Seems like many people signed up for the free tickets in order to try to sell their spots. It was made literally impossible to sell the spot considering you had to show up in person to get the tickets with an ID. It's a shame that there are so many empty seats due to those kinds of people. I am sure many people who really wanted to go didn't get picked in the raffle but could have been if the swindlers hadn't applied.

Just like when people talk about "all the people in a cemetary."
Npobody's therr--it's just their physical remains.

Amd with Michael with have received such a gift from him--of himself--that will last much longer than any one of us still here.

I'm surprised how well this whole thing is going. I thought it would be a free-for-all in there. Still not sure about having the casket there...
