Carrie Fisher is a week older than me. I remember walking along Cannery Row in Monterey when I was 15 and Debbie Reynolds pulled up in a red Cadillac and asked if she could park in the lot. She said she was having a birthday party for her daughter there. I didn't know she had a daughter, but I thought it was cool to see Debbie Reynolds driving around in my boring home town.

Oh, and closetwatcher I also used to see Powers Boothe walking around Ashland when I lived there. He was an actor at the Shakespeare Festival at the time and I had a super mad crush on him.

The only (minor) celebrity I have met was Kristy McNichol (of the late 80s tv series Empty Nest). She was on the same catamaran trip as my family on a trip to Hawaii when I was a tween.

The only real celebs I ever met face to face were Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand when they were filming the movie, "The Way We Were" I got RR's autograph and sat in BS's "director's" chair with her name on the back of it!

I once road in an elevator with the comedian Gallagher and met the drummer for the band Survivor. We talked about our kids hamsters.

I ate in the same resturant as Eddie Money once.

That's all my celebrity claim to fame. But I had a friend that literally got run over by Ozzy Osbourne in an airport. He stopped to apologize and asked her if she'd like his autograph or a photo with him. She looked at him and said: "but I don't know who you are". She didn't either. Her now husband is still peeved she didn't get his autograph and she says: "I didn't know who he was, I don't listen to that kind of music."
