I don't mind Sparrow for a baby but I can't see a grown man appreciating that name. Did they not realize that "Midnight Madden" sounds like a sale at Wal-Mart?

While I think it's great that people put a lot of thought / creativity into the names they bestow, I wish that they would sometimes put more thought into how it will work for the child. It's not that easy to go through school / life with some of these names.

Yeah...where in the heck did they come up with a name like James? (just kidding)

I don't get some of these off the wall names either. Sparrow isn't even creative in my opinion. It just sounds silly to me.

If the kid goes into show business, Sparrow will probably not be affected....but if he turns out to be a professional, I can see S James in his future

Reminds me of Capt. Jack Sparrow in the Pirates movies.

My great grandmother was named Mourning. We thought that was kind of strange and she was named for the Mourning Dove.

I used to tease my parents that I would use her name and my grandfather's middle name and name one my kids Early Mourning. They didn't think it was funny.

The more I think about the name, the more I think maybe it didn't strike me as at all odd because, being married into a big Greek family we have our fair share of Spiros in the family tree. Sparrow sounds so much like that, it just seemed like a fresher version of an "old family name"

Harlow is such a beautiful name I had high hopes her new baby would have a great name. I just think Sparrow is a silly name.
