First Dixie, then Lena, now Rue. I'm losing all my heroes.
This is incredibly sad. I loved Rue on Maude, Mama's Family, and especially Golden Girls. The variety of roles she was able to bring to life was remarkable. The last I heard she was improving after her stroke, and I was nursing a small hope that with all the (deserved) Betty White hoopla, Rue could have a little resurgence of her own. Now it'll never happen. Rest in peace, Rue. I hope you, Bea, and Estelle are having chocolate cheesecake right now on that lanai in the sky.
This always makes me feel better. It's even working now.
Thank You Rue , and Rest In Peace.

Dean Martin: No but you can pour it..
I can never get enough of The Golden Girls, and my heart breaks at times when I think of Bea and Estelle being gone. I've always enjoyed her shows, especially her role as Blanche. May she RIP.
I first saw Rue McClanahan on a soap opera (I think was Another World) years and years ago. She really got her big break on Maude before Golden Girls. She was a wonderful actress.
Interesting that Betty White, who was the oldest of the four Golden Girls, is the one who is fortunately still with us. All of them were superb.

There are now photos of Gary Coleman dying and dead being shopped around to tabloids. Guess who's trying to sell them. That's right: his "widow." What a piece of trash.
Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that 'my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge.' - Isaac Asimov
I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates, who said, "... I drank what?"
After hearing the 911 tape, I'm seriously wondering why the police aren't investigating her. :/
I heard that Gary Coleman's widow really wasn't married to him and that she can't afford to bury him. Also that his parents wanted him buried elsewhere then what his will stipulates. Even now that he is dead people are arguing over him.
