    Wow. That's too bad.

He had a winery out here and then a whole resort.
All my cousins had those coonskin caps.

So sad. I never had the coonskin cap, but I had a Davy Crockett KY long rifle that shot caps. That thing was as tall as I was. But I loved it.

Daniel Boone, and Davy Crockett in reruns, were favorite shows of my husband's when he was a little boy. I'm sad to hear Fess Parker has passed away.

Fess Parker, one of my favorites of ALL time! Such a fan during his Daniel Boone days especially.

Alex Chilton passed away last week in Memphis. For those not familiar with him, he was a founding member & lead singer for a band called Big Star. The were pretty influential, but for some reason never gained the commercial success that they perhaps should have had. Alex, was also the voice you hear everytime a radio plays The Letter by the Box Tops.

    RIP Alex!

How ironic! Last night the theme on American Idol was #1 songs, and Lee sang The Letter by the Box Tops. It wasn't very well accepted by the judges ( because it is an old song), but actually he did a good job with the song.
Dear paranoid people who check behind their shower curtains for murderers, if you do find one, what's your plan?

Robert Culp, 79, Dies After Fall: Report - ABC News

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - TV actor Robert Culp, best known as a secret agent in the 1960s hit "I Spy", died on Wednesday after a fall at his home, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Culp, 79, died at a local hospital where he had been rushed after hitting his head while taking a walk outside his home, the paper reported, citing a Los Angeles police spokesman.

(One of my favorites. Loved him on "I Spy" and also when he made gueat appearances on "Colombo".)

Very sad to hear that Robert Culp passed. I loved him in Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice Bob and Carol (Culp and Natalie Wood) were the innocent ones who were introduced to wife-swapping by their best friends, Ted and Alice (Elliott Gould and Dyan Cannon). RIP!!
