That is really sad news . RIP Bea. At least I can still watch her and Estelle on the Hallmark channel. Those 2 are my favorite on Golden Girls.

    Totally loved this woman.

I was sad to hear this. I loved Maude and Dorothy. She will be missed.

Aw, I really hate to hear this. I always loved her deadpan snark, and I still enjoy watching Golden Girls even though I've seen every episode about 100 times.

RIP Bea, you will be missed.

I just saw the news about Bea Arthur when I logged on and was instantly bummed to hear of her passing. As much as I loved the Dorthy character, my mind went straight to that Maude theme song and that deadpan humor. It was always a treat when she got to take on the Archie Bunker character. I'm going to miss that woman! May she rest in peace.

I, too, was saddened to read this. As much as I loved Maude and Dorothy on TV, I adored her performance as Vera Charles to Angela Landsbury's Mame on Broadway.
