    Re: Rest In Peace.

He is very well known and liked in Chicagoland and had close ties to the Chicago Police ... active and retired.

Guess most law abiding consider him a friend of a friend. Sad.

ETA: I knew he did a play in Chicago ...

Farina was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan and played an avid fan in a 1988 revival of the successful 1977 Organic Theater Company stage play The Bleacher Bums which was written by and starred fellow Chicago actors Joe Mantegna and Dennis Franz. Wonderful actors ... and people ... all of them.

Aww, sorry to hear about Dennis Farina. I enjoyed him in his second career as an actor in his police roles and also in some light-hearted movie comedies. 69 is too young. May his soul rest in peace.

I'm very sorry to hear about Dennis Farina. He had a long and successful acting career and could both comedy and drama very well. One of my favorite character actors.

Just heard about Dennis Farina's death. RIP.

Seemingly what they say about death coming in threes is true. Two weeks ago, James Gandolfini, last week Corey Monteith, now this week Dennis Farina.

I had the same thought ... and then thought well hope that means it is over!

There has been a lot on TV/Radio locally ... and I guess he was just a regular guy, and always willing to lend a hand. Again... extremely well liked.

    Re: Rest In Peace.

Dennis was one of my favorite actors. He stood out and I was always happy to see him in a role. There was just something about him. He will be be missed. It's so sad for his family to lose him. He looked great and was only 69! I wasn't aware he had any health problems. I guess it was just something sudden with the blood clot.
