I was just coming here to post that sad news, ness. I watched Y&R from the very first episode and although I haven't watched in quite a few years, I have fond memories of watching the show with my late mom. Jeanne was wonderful in her role as Katherine Chancellor. She will be missed. May she RIP.

I always felt like I knew Mrs C, she was so good on the Y & R.

    RIP Jeanne

to me, her and Victor (Eric Braden) were the royalty of that show. I remember as a kid in the late 80s sitting to watch with my Grandma, who was about the same age as she was. That was quality bonding time for us, and kept us attached when I went to college. I havent watched it much since my Grandma passed 10 years ago but have tried to keep up with story lines here and there. RIP Jeanne!

Sympathies to Corbin Bernson. Jeanne Cooper was his mom.

I remember the facelift, but I don't remember the lesbian affair(s?).

Just read about Jeanne Cooper on Facebook...so sad. She was such a longstanding cast member of Y&R it'll be hard to picture that show without her ever being on it again. RIP

Amazingly enough, I DO remember that.

And IIRC, Victoria Principal's husband-at-the-time, Dr. Harry Glassman, was the doctor that performed the surgery.
