Was so sad to hear news of the actor's death. George Jefferson is still one of the best TV characters of all time. RIP Sherman Hemsley.

This is sad news. Sherman created such an unforgettable character in George Jefferson, that we still love to watch to this day.
I was a little surprised to learn that Isabel Sanford ("Weezie", who passed away in 2004) was 21 yrs older than Sherman/George. She was born in 1917 and he was born in 1938.
Mike Evans (the original Lionel) died in 2006. He was co-creator and writer for “Good Times”.
Roxie Roker (played Helen Willis) passed away in 1995, was the mother of musician Lenny Kravitz and cousin of Today show Al Roker.
Chad Everett also died today, from lung cancer. He was 75. (I still remember "Medical Center". Vaguely.)
I remember Chad/Dr. Joe Gannon on Medical Center.
Chad Everett from "Medical Center"?
Oh, my God. I watched that show just to check him out every week.
And I think Tyne Daly's father played on that show, too.

ness - yes, John Daly (Dr. Lochner) was the father of Tyne Daly and her handsome brother Tim Daly.
chad was my main squeeze for many years. I thought he was so handsome! RIP
Chad EVerett was definitely a heart throb and I'm so sad to hear of his passing. I really enjoyed seeing him in the recent "Blue Butterfly" episode of Castle.
