    Ohhh.

    His stuff was SO good!

His talent will surely be greatly missed.

    RIP, Leroy.

Our evening news tonight reported that she was near death and that many of her friends did not even know she was gravely ill. Now, I see she has passed at the age of 71. Such a talented writer; I have enjoyed so many of her films. She will be missed. May she rest in peace.

    Re: Rest In Peace.

Apparently, Liz Smith posted something about a memorial service before the announcement of her passing was made. Awkward. The articles on HuffPo about her being ill and then about her passing were very close together, like less than 20 minutes apart.

I know there are people who brush many of her movies off as fluff, but I feel like she was one of the voices of her generation. She didn't just give us romcoms like When Harry Met Sally and Sleepless in Seattle, she also gave us Silkwood and, most recently, Julie and Julia, among many others. I'll miss her "voice."

I'm so sad to have read about this earlier today. Loved her work...especially her book "Why I hate my Neck"...probably because I hate my neck now also!
I almost think she started the whole Chick Flick movie type. Who among us, didn't love Sleepless in Seattle, When Harry Met Sally and the others too??
    Such a talented woman.

I loved her books more than her movies. She could make me laugh out loud. I feel like I've lost a friend.

It is a cancer, so I imagine it is.

I adored her style both in writing and conceptualizing for film. No more Ephron sister films. Sad. RIP Nora
