    I think there were a few obits that mentioned his alcohol use. Nothing about drugs though. I wish I could say I was surprised, but we've seen so many deaths like this in the news lately. I keep hoping people will wake up to how dangerous prescription medication can be, especially in combination with alcohol. I think people choose to focus on the "prescription" part and not the "drug" part.

    Regardless of how he died, it's just a terrible waste.

    Is it bad that I thought Vidal Sassoon had already passed? I guess he'd just been out of the public eye for a while.

    His company put out the most fabulous-smelling deep conditioning treatment that I've ever used!! And it did a great job! Broke my heart when I could no longer find it.

    He also styled MIA FARROW for the movie "Rosemary's Baby". Waaaaay back in 1968, he was flown from Hollywood to London, at a reported cost of $5000, to give her that "pixie" haircut.

    The shampoo/conditioner smelled fabulous too. Oh the memories!
