Very nice tribute to Jonathan Frid aka Barnabas Collins of Dark Shadows.

Dark Shadows was a show that could scare me in the middle of the afternoon! Loved it!!

Dick Clark liked to laugh. I think he'd get a chuckle out of this.

Did you know that the entire run of the show is available on DVD? It starts way before the arrival of Barnabas. It is so cool because they have left everything in. When they are using multiple cameras, you can often see one inthe shot of the other, sceneray falls over, people forget their lines & on & on. It's all there, warts & all.

Levon Helm, drummer for The Band and 2007 Grammy winner, died yesterday after a long struggle with throat cancer. I've been listening to him singing The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down all morning.

    Safe home, Levon.

I did not know that it is on DVD. I'll have to look for it. Although I don't like the horror genre, I really enjoyed Dark Shadows and Jonathan Frid was a perfect Barnabus Collins. Of course, vampires weren't being done to death back then either.
