Truly the end of an era. He will be so missed by those of us who remember Bandstand and how supportive he was of Connie Francis after being raped just broke her completely. The perennial teenage is with us no more.

I grew up watching AB and will always remember Dick Clark as young and vibrant. We should all be so lucky to have a job we truly love.

This is such sad news. I grew up with Dick and American Bandstand. He truly was an amazing man who came into my life and introduced me to some amazing music and my love of dance. He will be missed.

AB was one of my favorites, growing up.

The man was a true icon and legend.

    He will be sorely missed.

    RIP, Mr. Clark.

So many memories of rushing home from high school to watch the full hour of American Bandstand from 3:30 to 4:30. Trying to "jitterbug" like Kenny and Arlene became an obsession. All those dances they introduced on the show became part of dances throughout America - even my living room.

    RIP Dick.

I remember AB being on Saturdays... in the days before cable (and all the channels to watch) and MTV this was one of the big music shows.
