Wow, I'm shocked about Kincaide. I met him several times - he used to visit the museum where I worked. While I was not a fan of his paintings, he was a nice man and much too young to die.

Wonder if he did what so many people do....went to bed and never woke up? Or just quietly "passed" during a normal moment in time?

that is the way I want to go. In my sleep . I am a huge baby when it comes to pain and fear. I hope to go quietly, in my bed when I am an old lady.

Aw, I'm sad to hear about Mike Wallace. 60 Minutes was required viewing in our house, so I feel like I grew up watching him. I'm sorry to hear that he has passed, but he did live a nice, long life.

What a wonderful contribution he made to humankind. I'll miss him.

    Re: Rest In Peace.

I’ve always liked Mike Wallace – to me HE was “60 Minutes” back in the day. But the one interview I remember most was Bonnie Consolo – a woman born without arms. They ran the piece on several Mother’s Days, and filmed her driving (with her feet) Mike to the airport.

I also remember (before 60 Minutes) when he interviewed Malcolm X shortly before he was assassinated.
