I was shocked to read of both Kara Kennedy and Eleanor Mondale - both 51, three years younger than me. My prayers to their families.

I don't think Seinfeld fans will forget the marble rye lady. RIP Frances Bay.

Frances Bay, who tussled with Jerry Seinfeld over a loaf of marble rye and played Adam Sandler's grandmother in "Happy Gilmore" during a career that began in the 1930s, has died. She was 92.

Her cousin Les Berman says Bay died Thursday at a Los Angeles area hospital after being diagnosed with pneumonia.

After working as a radio actress before World War II, Bay married and became a housewife. She returned to acting in the 1970s and her career took off. Bay played Fonzie's Grandma Nussbaum on "Happy Days" and kindly older ladies in shows like "The Jeffersons," "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "Who's the Boss?"

The Canadian-born actress also was cast by director David Lynch in several films, including "Blue Velvet" and "Wild at Heart."

Fans of "Seinfeld" know her as the tough lady who fought with the show's star over the last loaf of bread.

    She has no immediate survivors.

    Dolores Hope

    Dolores Hope -- Dead at 102 | TMZ.com

    Dead at 102

Dolores Hope -- Bob Hope's widow -- has died. She was 102 years old.

Dolores married Bob Hope in 1934 and the couple was married for 69 years, until Bob died in 2003. Sources tell us Dolores died this morning.

Friends of Dolores tell TMZ, she was quite the character, frequently drinking bourbon and entertaining almost to the end of her life.

Dolores was a devout Catholic, who drove herself to mass everyday at 7 AM, and when she could no longer drive a chapel was constructed on her Toluca Lake estate so she could worship.

Dolores' rep, Harlan Boll, tells TMZ, she loved children and veterans and would do anything for her charities.

    Sad to hear the news.
I thought he was actually a lot older than he was. His illness really took a toll on him.
I'm just surprised he waited that long to retire from Apple. Sure sounds like he was rapidly declining. Poor man.

I just heard this news and am rather surprised. Even though he had cancer, I didnt realize it was so bad. I guess when he stepped down from work he knew it just a matter of time.

RIP Steve Jobs - I am thinking of those who made the announcements about the new Apple products yesterday and how tough it must have been for them knowing how sick he was. What a loss for those of us who admire him so much. And of course, how sad for his family.

    Re: Rest In Peace.

I have this framed over my desk. It is from an Apple ad campaign that Steve Jobs green-lighted after he came back to Apple in the nineties. I love it because I think it captures his spirit and the spirit of all of us who he touched and inspired.

    Here's to the Crazy Ones
    The misfits
    The rebels
    The troublemakers
The round pegs in the square holes
The ones who see things differently
    They're not fond of rules
And they have no respect for the status quo
You can quote them, disagree with them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.

About the only thing that you can't do, is ignore them

    Because they change things

They invent. They imagine. They heal.

They explore. They create. They inspire.

They push the human race forward.

Maybe they have to be crazy?
How else can you stare at an empty canvas and see a work of art?
Or, sit in silence and hear a song that hasn't been written?
Or, gaze at a red planet and see a laboratory on wheels?

We make tools for these kinds of people

While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius

Because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

"The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do."

He would want us all to know that today, I think, that the power to change the world is inside all of us who dare to think we can.
"Do you want to change the world?...Think Different, Be Different...Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish…Now, let’s go invent tomorrow.” – Steven Paul Jobs
