Well, I just cried my eyes out and tried to explain "Columbo" to my daughter who remembers him in "The Princess Bride."

I still watch reruns whenever I find them.

I text messaged my hubby about Peter Falk's death. He responded, "Wow. He was only 83." (Kind of a hint as to the fact that we're no longer spring chickens.

    RIP Peter Falk

Strange that my mother and I just talked about him and Colombo earlier today before finding out about this just now.

    Boy.

    I know we've all got to leave, but . . .

I have been a Peter Falk fan since his first appearance as Columbo (1968). I backtracked, saw his earlier work, then continued to follow him after he hung up the raincoat and put out the cigar for good.

    What an actor.

    RIP, Columbo.

Peter Falk, what a wonderful actor. I adored Colombo, but his career was so much more than just that. He was a two-time Oscar winner. A great friend of John Cassavetes and Gena Rowlands, he did many of Cassavetes independent films. Comedy or drama, he was a presence on the screen. He will be missed.

I keep waiting for somebody to say "He was too young!"

    I did love Colombo!

Try to catch Wings of Desire. A beautiful film and I have to say growing up with "Columbo" I was quite surprised to see him in this type of movie.
