I will give him credit for discovering and encouraging Tina to make her a star. But if you look at what she has done since getting away from him, I don't think there's any doubt she played a mighty big hand in making herself. Just look at a single live performance from her ... she had the talent within her -- Ike just pushed it along.

Ike wasn't just a wife beater - his abuse was sickening. For some reason "The Burning Bed" comes to mind as a solution. But he wouldn't have been worth going to prison for.
