True. I never understood why they forced the contestants to do things that would be nearly impossible for an average weight person, only to see them get shin fractures, sprains, muscle strains, etc. Then they are out at the E.R. and then can't walk for days or weeks. It happened repeatedly. I finally gave that show up.

Its all about the drama, the story and perhaps even a bit of "lets laugh at the fattie" thrown in. I used to watch the show about Ruby, a morbidly obese woman and her struggle to lose weight. She did it sensibly... diet and proper exercise. Yes she had to work hard, but she wasn't carrying boulders up a hill or anything like that. Care was also taken about her joints and the toll on her body. She was extremely excited to be able to walk a mile, it took time but she was able to do it.

We've veered way off topic here. The discussion about BL can be continued in the forum for that show

    Re: Miscellaneous Celebrity News

One thing about the Kardashians/Jenners that still bugs me is that when someone started an on-line petition to boycott them from tv, they filed or threatened to file a lawsuit against the person. I guess the person didn't want to fight it, because they dropped it all. Sounds illegal IMO, but to have the power to silence viewers who do not want to see you on tv is just insane. I just don't understand why we have to be forced to see these people on tv, internet, magazines. I don't know even one person who likes them. If you read comments on their stories, people detest them. Where are their fans? I don't get it.If

I guess this is the reason I want to spank Ryan Seacrest with a wet noodle. They are his brainchild. What will it take for him to drop them? Unless that happens, I don't think they will go away.

Unfortunately they must have fans or they wouldn't be on tv, as ratings are the measure as to what stays on and what gets cancelled. Centuries from now, historians will be asking the same question--why were these people so popular? Lol.

I have this odd feeling that something quite shocking will happen in that group that will cause the tv and other media to walk away from them. I'm not sure what it will be, but something will take them out of the spotlight. It would probably be the best thing that could happen to them.

I do still have some degree of respect for Bruce Jenner. He is an Olympic gold medalist in the decathlon and earned his fame by doing something real. I'm not fond of the choices he made later in life, but he is not a person who is famous for doing nothing. The rest of them are a waste of oxygen.

I doubt it. The only reason this family is as famous as they are is because of a sex-tape. Sex tapes have ended TV/movie careers, now it's a way to get your mug on TV. Sick little world we live in. The only way this family is off our TV screens is if they all die and the chances of that happening are slim. If one does happen to die, the rest will milk that for all they can.
