Note that in my post before my last post, I DID say "attributed to her" and "allegedly" when I gave MHO on reasons that were released/stated as to why she chose to lip synch.

Even without that, far as I'm concerned, SHE PUT HERSELF OUT THERE TO BE BASHED if, for NO other reason than using simple logic and common sense regarding why she: 1. Shows up in what appears to be an EVENING GOWN in the FIRST place for an event of this nature, and 2. PULLED OFF a big, what-appeared-to-be fur coat in 44 - 46 degree weather OUTSIDE when performing. And that coat OBVIOUSLY wouldn't've kept her from sending even one note out of her body. And the overly-dramatic ripping away of her earpiece near the song's end.

Baby Girl was out there to engage in some serious stylin' and profilin', based on how I interpreted what I saw.

And if she doesn't care what people say about her "performances", good for her and more power to her. In order to be in that business, anyway, I think you've got to have a screw loose if you DON'T know that people will see and hear what you do. And BECAUSE YOU HAVE CHOSEN TO PUT YOURSELF OUT IN THE PUBLIC DUE TO THE BUSINESS YOU CHOSE TO ENGAGE IN, we, the great unwashed, are free to discuss, dissect, speculate and voice our opinions on whatever it is about you that has been done in the public arena, should we wish or choose to.

Just sayin'.

First off, I didn't see the post where you said "attributed to her" and "allegedly" so that why I made the comment about her addressing her right after yours. My mistake for missing your post before that one.

And she for sure put herself out there to be bashed. And I think she's okay with that or she would have faded into the background long ago. By all means bash, discuss, defend, etc. her all you want. That's exactly what I thought I was doing too.

IMO, she likes to turn everything into a performance and this one certainly fits the bill. As I watched it live, it was the best of that day. And she looked fabulous while doing it.

Not all singers are created equal and I think it is pointless to compare one to another, except when talking about whose music you like. She will address it when, and if, she does.

I enjoy her voice. It's as simple as that, and I don't do what she does for a living. I trust her decision-making....and I'd expect her to trust me in my profession. Is it worth going on and on and on to explain? Not really.

I don't have a problem with an established singer lip syncing if they admit it & explain their choice. We all know Beyonce can sing well. It's not like a Milli Vanilli fraud (one for the oldies to remember ) Honesty goes a long way.
I like Beyonce the singer a lot. It's Beyonce the celebrity I have little use for.

I bought a Milli Vanilli single on cassette. I remember when they won the grammy.... so I am an oldie! The thing with that is that they were lip syncing to someone elses vocals. Much different then lip syncing to your own!

I think a really good singer should be able to perform at a concert or a public forum live..... Just like the old singers of the past who didn't have today's technology.
But that being said, I really don't care.

If the main source of my income / celebrity was from singing, I'd make darn sure I was not lip synching at the Inauguration. This is the Presidential Inauguration, after all. And, for the record, it was much warmer this time than it was back in 2008.

I'm a little confused... do we know that Beyonce lip-synched? Is there any way to confirm or deny? Someone must have been in charge of cuing up the tape if she did. This is one of those issues that would have blown over much more quickly with either proof of it not being true or admitting it and giving whatever reason the choice was made.

eh, much ado about nothing regarding the lipsynching. We all know the girl can sing. I would rather she own it one way or the other, but heck this happened at the inauguration, all of the politicians from both sides constantly talk out of both sides of their mouths and practice deniability as a way of life. That is much more of a problem for me than the lipsynching....just saying.
