Don't be sorry for your opinion!
Well, it's better than him (Harry) posing as a Nazi, which he has done in the past so...yes, his life may be full of strictures, but he's had a lot of privileges and opportunities that others would love to have. I don't think it's a horrible thing (the naked pool-playing) but it is rather stupid and immature.
The British papers held off on publishing the pictures at first but now the Sun has printed them. The queen can't actually tell the press what to print or not print exactly (though she/he can lodge a complaint about his privacy being violated, to which the press can (as the Sun has) claim that the pictures are in the public interest and, as such, they have a right to publish them).
Apparently, several of the girls who were at that party now want to sell their stories, including pictures. :ohno If nothing else, Harry needs to smarten up about the kind of company he keeps. There are also rumors that pics (worse ones than the Vegas pics) from another vacation - on Richard Branson's Necker Island - may be leaking in the press soon.
I'm reminded of something Seth Meyers said on Weekend Update on SNL after those pics of Michael Phelps with the bong got sold to some media outlet. The gist of it was "If you're at a party getting high with Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps and your first impulse is to take pictures and sell them to the press, then you're an ass----!" I have to agree.
I didn't see the fully nude pics, but I did see a re-enactment of the pics in a British paper using a Harry double.
I agree, CCL - better than the Nazi uniform....that's really sad. "Yeah, those naked pics are bad, but at least he's not wearing a Nazi uniform again!" :lol
I'm poor and know many things about many high ranking officials in this city. Would I sell that info? Nope. My mother raised me to be better than that. I could use the cash though....but my conscience couldn't deal with it. (NO, I wasn't involved)
Necker Island? LOL These jokes just write themselves.
For me the sad part is that his PR was really coming into its own with a positive spin. There was all the talk about the new generation, especially after Harry was sent solo on the recent goodwill tour. He was deemed ready to take the responsibility of representing the Monarch. Then he is sent to America with other British soldiers to learn to fly Apache helicopters at a base in the Mojave desert. It really is too bad that Las Vegas was the point city for leave. All that good PR work down the drain. All the good PR the royal house has received with the Queen's anniversary and being involved with the London Olympics (where Harry was highlighted as being the Royal in attendance at the Closing Ceremonies) damaged.
I can imagine the Palace spinmeisters are shaking their heads. I wonder if they are even going to attempt to salvage his reputation this time.
Maybe this will wake Harry up and make him grow up a bit. It doesn't mean he can't party and have fun, but he's kind of heading down a bad path....like a dead hooker in a hotel room bad. He doesn't seem to have very good judgment about the people he hangs out with. He behaves like he's a college frat boy and sorry, he just can't, because people are horrible and have no honor and they'll sell him out at the drop of a dime.
I'd imagine the security staff has been fired. Do they still put prisoners in the Tower of London? They should be glad Newgate Prison was destroyed @100 years ago! :lol The Queen seems like a nice lady, but I'm sure she's scary as hell if you piss her off. I know I wouldn't want to be on her bad side.
I sure wouldn't want to be famous. It's almost like Soviet Russia out there, only it's not every day citizens being reported to the KGB, it's celebs being sold out to the press. How would you know who to trust?
No, I can't --- and don't --- see him ever leaving The Firm. He DOES love his family, I believe. And, no, even if he tried it, it'd never work. He's just too well known.
Young, unmarried 20 something In Vegas with liquor and girls,so what?
