That live in girlfriend was Kelly Preston who is now married to John Travolta. She swore up and down it was an accident. But who knows?

I've just never believed that death is the worst thing that can happen to a person.
He's been a part of my unofficial death pool for the last few years. I wouldn't be surprised at all to hear that he died. It was like when Chris Farley died. I wasn't surprised at all. The only thing surprising was that he lasted as long as he did.

The pictures that were released of this last party with the porn stars were just alarming. Charlie didn't look like a rich, famous actor. He looked like a garden variety junkie, which is what he is.

The thing I feel is that he's playing himself - or how he should be if he had his act together. Both in Spin City ans 2 and Ĺ men he's playing the same character and I don't think it's too far from him, the polished version of him anyway. Plus all three are named Charlie as well.

I remember back in the 90s after Hot Shots! (which I like) he wanted to become a more serious actor, one step would be changing his name to Charles Sheen. Seems he decided o go the completely opposite way.

That's probably so that, when he's really loaded, he doesn't get too confused in a scene

Charlie Sheen is responsible for Charlie Sheen, If he chooses to seriously pursue sobriety for his multitude of addictions then good for him. Blaming family members for not `helping' is incredibly painful for the thousands of friends and families who each year watch on helpless as those they love choose their addictions over their families. The families feel guilt ridden enough, since society believes you can love someone out of their addictions (not true). Sometimes, for the psychological survival of the family, they have to walk away from the addict and let the addict face the repercussions for their behavior.
This is an excellent post. If my smilies were working I would have put the clapping one here.
Thank god it wasn't my personal experience, but I've seen some wonderful, concerned & close families go through this. Once a person is an adult & able to support themselves, the family can't do a darned thing if the person with self destructive habits refuses to change. Brittney's case was different because she actually had a breakdown & needed legal guardianship.
Martin or the rest of his family can't help Charlie without his wanting to change, & sometimes stepping back is the only way to go forward with their own lives.

That's what happens when the singer tries to make it more about their own performance than the song itself.

So true! Her performance was really disappointing.

I very much agree. I don't know why these pop singers have to turn it into a screech fest that no one else can sing along with. Just trying to prove something, I guess. I would rather hear it sung the way it was intended to be - a good voice is nice, but it should be simple and the crowd should be able to sing along. It our anthem!
