Just to be factually accurate, 'those' who accused Michael Jackson are the People of the State of CA - and as someone who attended law school that looked at the evidence in both cases, the state proved their case against Michael Jackson just as they did with OJ Simpson.
I don't want to open that can of worms, however, just to clarify, I'm not speaking of "the people of California"-I'm speaking of parents who did some very questionable things. Money was a big factor to some of those parents, and that always makes what they have to say questionable.
Now OJ-I'll give you that one.
Well I'm speaking about the criminal case because private citizens can't bring criminal charges. And the evidence is far more compelling and substantive than what parents said which shouldn't be discounted just because they were less wealthy than the defendant. If so, then wealthy people could do anything they wanted to anyone without fear of criminal repercussions but just excuse it away with, 'Well, they must be after my money'.
And here is just a small sampling of the physical evidence:
A briefcase full of porn from Jackson's bedroom including photos of very young boys and young girls.
A young boy's fingerprints, along with Jackson's, on women's Barely Legal porn -- the type which same sex pedophiles often show young heterosexual boys to get them excited.

Yes, it must have been just an all so innocent sleepover that Jackson seemed to constantly have and they accidentally put their fingerprints on porn and drank alcohol while watching G rated movies and then money hungry parents took advantage of poor Michael Jackson.
I interned in the Sex Crimes Division of the District Attorney's office in Manhattan and looked closely at the evidence in the case of The People of the State of CA versus Michael Jackson that I strongly believe was proven beyond a reasonable doubt. Jackson presented factually as a textbook pedo.
ETA: Celebrity gossip is the topic at hand. I brought in some facts as well since they are relevant to a discussion of Michael Jackson and the case against him which I did not bring up but am tired of seeing factually misrepresented.
Please don't try to make it sound as if I'm saying that he's wealthy so he's innocent. I know that wealthy people are capable of the same things that everyone else is capable of. You feel he should have been convicted, that's fine, it's your opinion and I certanly respect it as you've obviously stuidied the case well. My opinion is he's dead, and if you believe in a heaven and hell then my opinion is a higher court has now spoken. As a part of the legal community I can see the importance of using this as a case study to make sure that whatever set him free will be addressed so that future cases will end in convictions. As a lay person I would think the lesson to be learned is to not let your child have sleepovers with grown men. Most of us already know that much.

Lohan has not hit rock bottom-until she does she will remain obnoxious.
When she does reach her bottom I hope she does not choose reality show rehab and instead checks into a truly helpful facility, if she's lucky enough to live through the abuse she's putting herself through.

It scares me there's still younger Lohan off spring out there. Hopefully since we haven't heard about them they have the common sense to run for the hills away from Hollywood.
And isn't Michael's fiancee Jon Gosselin's fling that he dated while he was still married to Kate and having his other fling with Haley? If so, she sure knows how to pick 'em. I believe deep down Michael wants help for his daughter, but I shake my head every time he has to go yelling to the first media outlet that'll listen. It's like his portrays himself in one light despite Lindsey openly saying he's her ex-father and that he brings negativity to her life. I believe her.
her sister ali wants the spotlight. she has done some modeling, some tweaks to her appearance. she accompanies lindsay to clubs at all hours even though she is still several years underage. her appearance is slightly less covergirl than lindsay's which could be part of why she hasn't seen much of the spotlight, but i also think that the name "lohan" has become a stigma among any reputable people in the business.
she also has at least one brother, maybe two, but i don't even know their names. maybe they got all the common sense in the family.
i don't usually read this section of the forums, but the debacle around lindsay lohan has me so infuriated i needed an outlet. i have never seen that level of narcissism and total disrespect towards others and my inner sense of justice just wanted to see somebody put their foot down. the judge tried to and i applaud her for that, but she'll likely be getting out of jail in less than 14 days and that is barely even a slap on the wrist. she won't change even a bit from all this.
i feel like she can't possibly feel like she has any peace in her life. how do you live like that and still feel inner peace?
I think her parents are. Michael knows all about jail, having done a 5.5 years in a couple of them on 2 different donvictions. Then there was him taping phone conversations with Lindsay and leaking them to the gossip outlets, and trashing her in the tabloids. What a dad! And her mom is a famewhoring nightmare. Her "Living Lohan" reality show was enough to gag a maggot. These 2 have sought fame and fortune through their daughter, and now they will probably do the same thing with Ali. They have kept all their kids working in modeling and acting.
A glance at Lindsay Lohan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia will demonstrate that they had Lindsay working non-stop from the time she was 3 years old. These people forgot to give her a childhood.
No wonder she's so screwed up. I am not saying her choices are not her choices - but jeez. These people gave her a miserable enough life to make her choices somewhat understandable.
