With that kind of line up--I wonder if this is a good use of not very bright people--on purpose?

This isn't celebrity news - more along the lines of seeking celeb news on this post. Does anyone know if Rosie O'Donnell and her wife Kelly are still together? I had heard rumblings a while back, but nothing definitive. Thanks in advance.

I think it was a couple of months ago when Kelli supposedly asked for time away. The news right away said they were divorcing.
But as of this date, it appears they have not split.

Oh-oh--I've now seen a few of those pistachio ads and---they're cute and memorable.

I haven't seen Levi's yet--but I will look out for it.

I think they achieved what ghey wanted--to have people talkiing about the ads and their product.

It's working.

Here's my report of and reaction to Palin's interview with Barbara Walters on ABC's GMA--

As with her Oprah interivew Palin doesn't really seem to take any responsiblity for her own ideas and political philosophy.

So little that she would't even tell anyone what it is she does stand for specifically.

All we get is her saying she got "Annoyed" with Katie Couric's questions so she answered in a "lighthearted way" instead of giving real answers to Couric's questiomns.

And she also blames the McCain campaign for what she--Palin--said during the debate. She says she was given cards with questions and the very vague non-answer replies written on the backs of the cards. Which is what she repeated during the debate.

Nowhere does she take responsilbity for what has come out of her mouth--pr even give any real idea of what she stands for in terms of the US and its policies. So it's really hard to take her seriously as a candidate for ANY national office.

Also it makes me think she might be afraid for us to actually know what her ideas are concerning the country. I wonder why that is?

An excerpt from a review of Palin's book--

"All in all Ms. Palin emerges from “Going Rogue” as an eager player in the blame game, ungrateful to the McCain campaign for putting her on the national stage. As for the McCain campaign, it often feels like a desperate and cynical operation, willing to make a risky Hail Mary pass to try to score a tactical win, instead of making a considered judgment as to who might be genuinely qualified to sit a heartbeat away from the Oval Office.

In “Going Rogue” Ms. Palin talks perfunctorily about fiscal responsibility and a muscular foreign policy, and more passionately about the importance of energy independence, but she is quite up front about the fact that much of her appeal lies in her just-folks “hockey mom” ordinariness. She pretends no particular familiarity with the Middle East, the Iraq war or Islamic politics — “I knew the history of the conflict,” she writes, “to the extent that most Americans did.” And she argues that “there’s no better training ground for politics than motherhood.”

A CNN poll taken last month indicates that 7 out of 10 Americans now think Ms. Palin is not qualified to be president, and even as ardent a conservative as Charles Krauthammer lamented in September 2008 “the paucity of any Palin record or expressed conviction on the major issues of our time.”
