It's interesting that she waited until years after his death to release this info, and via book ($$$).
Although, on the former, maybe that's understandable if it is true.
And if it is true, I guess it explains a lot about her life. I'm thinking that whether it is true or not, she is still making bad choices.
I wonder who is getting his royalties now, and who owns the various music catalogs? Granted, there probably isn't much still coming in (compared to "bigger" musicians who have passed on or sold their rights).
I guess when you're telling your story, some people want to tell their entire story. I think that it is good to get out what you've probably been hiding for years and, hopefully, you can move on. She said that people tend to want to be more concerned about HIM in all of this, and not her. I'm glad that she's not keeping it closeted. People need to know what can happen. She said that this book is about forgiveness. I think she needs our prayers. You can't spend your life being concerned about other people's comfort levels.
But he cannot defend or exonerate himself. She came out with all this after his death, the family says no way. I have a problem with people that "tell" after the person is dead. If it was not relevant to come clean before then, then why afterwards. But it will sell.

The interview was very strange...and after sitting through the entire hour, I'm not convinced she's kicked her habit. She was very jittery, skittish, and clearly has not found inner peace by disclosing the details of her relationship with her father. Which makes me wonder, why publish such an intensely personal memoir except to make a few bucks? The whole show left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.
