Can the mods please put Farrah and Michael in separate threads? Each has such icon status.

A long time ago my friend and I saw the Jackson 5 in a department store. We were both in awe. Years later, I got to see Michael Jackson when he performed at Dodger Stadium. Michael's pop status was well deserved. He was an amazing performer and an incredible humanitarian. Heaven is getting too many angels this month! They will all be missed.

I am so stunned. This just came out of nowhere. He was still realtively young to be dying of heart problems.....

I may be aging myself greatly but I am as shocked today as I was when I heard that Elvis had died.

That too. John Lennon's death did upset me the most...I was in shock for weeks. But I think the fact it was murder played a big part in that.

I was just reading Josh Groban's twitter and I think he said it best. "Definately a 'Where were you when...' day."

He was one of my favrite artists when I was a kid, and some of his music still holds a timless place in my heart.

Very shocking and sad. His personal life was a mess but his talent was amazing. I hope he is in peace now.

This has been such a loaded day.

I was at a Family Dollar when i heard. I hoped that it was a silly rumor since it was yet to be confirmed, but then i listened to other radio stations and they were pretty much confirming it.
