Re: Miscellaneous Celebrity News

I actually know someone named Knox, so I didn't think it was all that unusual.

What got me in the article was that it said the "babies, the mother and the father" are doing well.

And why would the father NOT be doing well? He wasn't the one giving birth or being born. What could have happened to make him not doing well? I just thought that was funny.

Re: Miscellaneous Celebrity News

I know "somebody" named Knox, too. First name is Fort.
(I know that was stupid!)

Didn't there used to be a geletine drink called Knox you drank to make your nails stronger?

They are supposedly from the same batch of her pics that were taken when she was 14, apparently, according to other reports that I saw. *sigh* I wish they'd just leave her alone at this point. Quit piling it on... she's 15, not 25.

Knox Gelatin... perfect for making finger jello! And there was also a character in "Dead Poets Society" named Knox Overstreet, I think it was. I can see the guy's face... he ended up also starring in the tv show "Sports Night."

The pictures are hardly Raunchy, as they are saying

It's not X or even R rated, by the way. It's just this guy who reviews toys who's pointing out something VERY foolish that the Disney/Miley Cyrus Publicity Machine has allowed to be done to a toy with her face and her character's name on it. It's less of an actual scandal than just an example of the excess of idiotic senseless marketing, and how the stars either are totally losing control of stuff like that, or just plain not paying attention.

Re: Miscellaneous Celebrity News

Miley is showing questionable judgment, at best. Who knows where all of this is going, while everybody blames everybody else.

I'm sad about all of the Miley controversy. My daughter likes Hannah Montana (not "fanatically" or anything, she is still very young). I had seen a couple of interviews with her and her dad and they both seemed very grounded. I came away with the impression that she recognized her position as a role model for young girls. Even if most of these pictures "could be worse", they are still far from a model I want my own daughter to base her behavior on!!!

Re: Miscellaneous Celebrity News

I haven't seen the photos, but my take on all this is: The child is 15-16? She has parents. It's the parents jobs to try to protect them, guide them, etc. Every 15-16 year old I know, thinks they are grown up, thinks they know everything, thinks they can make a judgement about something. The law recognizes a person becoming an adult at 18. So my reasoning for this is that at 15-16 you still don't have the maturity/judgement to be allowed to make all of your own decisions and THAT'S WHY YOU HAVE PARENTS.

There have been other cases of child stars doing things at this age that once they got older looked back and said: "what was I thinking?". So that's why she still needs parents to help her.

Society makes it so easy for teenagers to think they are all grown up at that age and they so desperately want to prove they are grown up, but end up making mistakes that just prove they aren't quite grown yet.

Ok, off my soapbox now on Miley Cyrus.
