I loved his "potty mouth" humor and as a conductor. I also loved him in the Bill & Ted adventures.

What I enjoyed most and what I think is the mark of a great comedian is that he made observations of the human condition and just reported them. We thought they were funny because they were things we did or knew people that did them and recognized it and saw the hilarity in it.

I was so sad to wake up to this headline this morning. Rest in peace, Mr. Carlin. You will be missed, and thank you for the years of humor.
I've always loved a man who can make me laugh. Thank you, Mr. Carlin!

Ain't that the truth. It's why I married my husband, although at times he thinks he's funnier than he really is.Originally Posted by prhoshay;3073274;
I have been on youtube playing Carlin bits and laughing my butt off. (how did we live without youtube????? and why can I waste the most time ever on there???)

His voice will be missed, both the sound of it, and the brilliance of his words. Often it's said, after someone passes, "we'll never see the likes" of them again. In George Carlin's case, I sure hope we do see the likes of him again. The world will be a better place for it.

Man, when I saw this I cried. He really was one of the greats of comedy and we were just talking about him at work the other day.
Goodbye George....
I was crushed after hearing about it this morning. He was my favorite comedian of all time...I can recite parts of his old routines from listening so often. I regret that I never got to see him perform live.
RIP, Mr. Carlin - you were an original.
