Sounds like they both have a lot of baggage. I don't see this one making it until the end of the year (if the marriage did in fact take place) but stranger things have happened.

LONDON, England (AP) -- One of Britain's most talked-of celebrity couples may have tied the knot in a candlelit Buddhist ceremony as their friends cheered them on, newspapers reported Tuesday.

Supermodel Kate Moss and Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty held the ceremony on New Year's Day in the Thai resort of Phuket, The Sun and the Daily Mirror reported. Neither newspaper provided sources for the information, but the Mirror quoted an unnamed friend of Moss', who said the ceremony was an expression of the couple's mutual devotion.

A representative for Moss was not immediately available for comment.

A spokeswoman for the Amanpuri hotel, contacted by phone from Bangkok, denied the couple were staying there and said she had no knowledge of their whereabouts, though she had received many calls asking about them.

At the Trisara, a high-end resort and spa that opened in 2004, the general manager, Anthony Lark, said: "We don't talk about any of our guests. That's just something we don't do. We have a very simple policy of protecting our guests."

He said prices at the resort started at US$1,000 (euro750) a day and went as high as US$6,000 (euro4,500) for a five-bedroom villa. Asked what guests get for their money, he answered: "Privacy."

The Sun said the ceremony was not legally binding in Britain, and named Jan. 18 as the pair's official wedding day. Both papers ran blurry images of the couple; the back of Moss' head, her hair pulled back, could be seen, and Doherty as usual wore a trilby hat.

Moss, 32, is Britain's best-known model, and has deals with companies ranging from Louis Vuitton and Chanel to Topshop.

In September 2005, the Mirror ran photographs of Moss allegedly using cocaine at a recording studio where Babyshambles was working.

After the pictures were published, Moss publicly apologized and went to a drug rehabilitation clinic in Arizona. Prosecutors decided in June there was insufficient evidence to charge her. Since then, she has made a comeback, appearing frequently in fashion magazines and winning back contracts.

Doherty, 27, often makes headlines over his battle with drugs. The former lead singer of The Libertines, Doherty has been charged several times with drug-related offenses. In 2004, Doherty -- along with former Libertines partner Carl Barat -- was named coolest man on the planet by British music magazine NME. In 2005, Doherty dropped to sixth place; in 2006 he was 28th.

I think Kate Moss is a phenomenally talented model. She's just a total mess when it comes to Pete Doherty. Man, he's such a loser! Can't some nice decent guy win her over!???

Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz have called it quits, according to a report in Star magazine.
According to Star, Diaz, 34, spent Christmas with her family in Vail, Colo., while Timberlake, 25, was with his family near Memphis. The magazine quotes a source who says the former N' Sync singer told friends that he and the actress had broken up. The couple were last seen together on Dec. 16 when she introduced his musical performance on "Saturday Night Live."

Diaz and Timberlake started dating shortly after they met each other at the 2003 Kids' Choice Awards.

The magazine also reported that Timberlake has started seeing a former flame, Veronica Finn. The pair dated in the late '90s before he began dating Britney Spears. Finn and Spears were briefly in a girl group together called Innosense, according to music impresario Lou Pearlman.

Cameron and Justin have been together longer than most married celebs in recent years so I give them kudos for that. I'm sorry it didn't work out. Maybe she was ready to settle down and have a family and the age difference may have finally become a factor.

I remember hearing that he was the one who wanted to get married, and she said that she was "Committaphobic." She said that on one of the talk shows- Ellen if I'm not mistaken.

You're right. Diaz definitely said she wasn't the marrying type. And maybe that's what Timberlake decided was going to break the relationship. If he indeed wants a family, maybe marriage is very important to him. Too bad.

They did have a good run at it for many years. Maybe Brittany will call him up. Instant family Justin!
